I agree with you, I posted this to try some information. I have no idea why the post keeps coming up. It's gotten to the point that it's talking about things that have no sense with the original post.

I think I remember that the original post was about Sony not offering baked beans for students lunch programs because of all the petards going on.

Now where did I see that word before?

OK, I admit it, I'm not in the mood to do any real work today...

Grazie, eat lots of chicken soup. Jewish penicillin <wink>

Hope you feel better. I've had some "bug" since Thanksgiving and still can't shake it.

Semi-serious... I've seen web sites that swear that there is some actual benefit from consuming large amounts of chicken soup when you have a upper respiratory infection. Aside from any hot liquid aiding in congestion and perhaps inhibiting inflammation of the cells in the nasal passage some say (can't recall who or what) that chicken soup gives off some amino acid that is similar to a common drug used to treat many respiratory infections. Which one, who knows.

You never know what you'll learn reading this forum.

Now this isn't this Koop, the once long ago U. S. Surgeon General who looks a little like Colonel Saunders.

You do know who the Kentucky colonel of Kentucky Fried Chicken frame, right?

Thanks for the best wishes and the med advice . . I've been taking Beechams Powders and stuff . . . the last 4 nights have been horrid . . swallowing and coughing . .yeah?

Sorry, I had to bump this thread few days ago, just to check if there were any students and/or staffs that were interested in a group buy:

Here's something that does work, well if you don't have a thing about opiates. Codeine! You'd probably need prescription to get just pure codeine although I do remember some over the counter meds in the UK that had a fair wack of it in them. Now this will not cure it of course but simply not getting enough sleep whacks the immune system around and this stuff does suppres that part of the brain that makes you cough. Obviously NOT a good idea if your lungs are full of gunk however if you've got one of those dry racking coughs that stops you sleeping it can work a treat. I find it can leave you bit out of it next day but at least my bodies better rested to get on with the job of fighting the bugs.

Booo...
My trial version expired and now Vegas 5 Academic version is removed from all academic resellers.

Which NLE do I choose now?!? Sony Media Software does not reply to the e-mails that I have sent.

"Boots the Chemist" (that would be "Boots the Pharmacist" here in USA) sold their own brand of Paracetomol and Codeine (which is the same as the famous T3 in USA) but it was taken of the over-the-counter market a year or so back. It is the best for a cough AND for that hangover. I still have a few lying around. Iif you really need more the place to go is the dentist - they give these out like candy for toothache.
