Hi,

Just purchased the upgrade and downloading now. Looking forward to using it.

About the bundled Titler Pro, however, when clicking on the download link at the New Blue FX's website I get the following error:

'Not Found - The requested URL /so/sonytitlerpro/www.newbluefx.com/downloads/Sony/NewBlueTitlerProForSonyVegasSetup.exe was not found on this server.'

SCS might want to check that New Blue FX has their download page working correctly.

Update: Regarding Titler Pro, instead of clicking on the download link provided by Sony, go directly to the New Blue FX website and select Titler Pro from the Video FX tab. The download link on this page will work.

Release Notes.

Plenty of known issues there for early adopters to read through.

How much is the upgrade price (download)?

Go to "My Software". It lists Vegas 12 as an available upgrade. Mine says $189.95.

$189.95! That's got to be a no-brainer?

With exchange rates of around $1.60 to £ that equates to approx £120.

Even with import tax I can't see why it should be over £150 so why is my upgrade over £175!
WillemT wrote on 9/26/2012, 6:13 AM
What is not specified is what package it is - Vegas 12 only or including DVDA.

I followed the purchase right to the basket and it still only says Vegas Pro 12.

$189.95 to upgrade from any previous version seems extremely cheap.

I guess there's no need to state which version the upgrade is if you already own a previous Vegas version that includes DVDA, since DVDA has not been updated beyond 5.2.
TheHappyFriar wrote on 9/26/2012, 6:28 AM
Vegas Pro includes DVDA, Vegas Pro Edit doesn't.

"With exchange rates of around $1.60 to £ that equates to approx £120. ".. true.

Historically, SCS have stated the incorrect price in GBP on their buy now page!
At one point 2 years ago, their page showed GBP vs Dollar as the same price, i wrote and complained about it. But it still seems out.
Someone suggested on this forum to ring them up and use a card to pay for the upgrade instead of using the web form. I did that and to my delight, got the correct rate which was a fair bit cheaper than stated on the website. I also used Skype so the call was cheap too. I thought this would have been fixed by now.

Anyone know where the upgrade price is for Vegas Pro 12 Edit?
Many of us are upgrading, not buying new. We already have DVD Architect 5.2 and Titler Pro 1.

A year ago we paid in the UK £89.95 including 20% tax for Vegas Pro 11 Upgrade. This included another DVD Architect Liicense plus Titler Pro.
£175 including 20% tax looks a bit too expensive.

And why those phony foodprices 194,95 - just take 195
My account upgradeprice is in Euro 195.
Dollar price is 190 that makes an exchange difference of 65 dollar.
If i could pay in dollar I would save 65 dollars or 423 Skr (Swedish)

Sometimes they have had an upgrad price and then another special price comes in email. wonder what will happen this time.

My guess is that the "special" upgrade price will be released in about a week or less leading to all kinds of complaints from users who jumped in right away.
Based on past experience, a phone call/email to Customer Support will get you the price reduction on your credit card.

Happens every year, and every year the ones who buy it the second it's out are also the first to say it's broken and they want their $$ back. :p

Anyone noticed? No doing a real project while evaluating the new release.

The timeline appears to be watermarked.

On the upgrades page, why is there no option for Vegas 12 Pro Edit? I already have DVDA 5.2. Don't want to buy it again, even with the upgrade price. I just want the upgrade to V12 only. But that option isn't there. What the heck, Sony?

Just got a Email upgrade is 149.95 for box and 139.95 for download, just pulled the trigger, been using the BETA version for a while with no issues...will install after work....

Sorry if this has been covered, but has DVD Architect been upgraded at all? I see this on the website:

"New! Updated MainConcept Blu-ray Disc™ rendering

Blu-ray render templates for the MainConcept encoder are now included. The encoder supports variable bit rates, with maximum bit rate of 40Mbps and average bit rate of 25Mbps."

Does 5.2 already have this?

about DVD Architect comment - jmpatrick -
You are right to point out this is a very curious comment - doesn't jive with the facts since DVDAPro Version 5.0b

But wait; isn't the context of changes for burning a Blu-ray straight from the VegasPro12 timeline ( note: you must have DVDArchPro installed to use this feature.......hmmmm)

Busy downloading.

Is there only a 64bit version?
DVD-A build 133 is the latest and my current version is build 131
