(VEGAS Pro 14) Renders end with program or computer crashing

This started happening a few weeks ago. The video file format I’ve been able to render successfully is avi, which has made my ten minute videos over 90GB in size, so not ideal.

All my other attempts have resulted in either the program crashing or my entire system crashing to blue screen. I’ve tried freshly installing Vegas and later uninstalling the latest Windows 10 update, but nothing seems to help. I also turned off GPU acceleration and made sure all my drivers were updated. I have no idea what to do.

Did you make note of the error message when the system presented a blue screen?

Have you considered the possibility that you might have a hardware failure and Vegas is a program that will stress the system or use enough memory to expose the failed hardware?

Have you run memory diagnostics successfully?

The last blue screen that I experienced was caused by a memory module that failed at one and only one memory address with one and only one data pattern. Corsair replaced the failed pair of modules for free.

I have actually received several different blue screen errors, and sometimes the program crashes without triggering a blue screen.
