Try the default settings for AMD VCE? I remember seeing failed renders with high bitrates.

For audio, that is strange.

Test wrote on 3/27/2022, 4:21 AM

I have latest build VP19 build 550. Default setting AMD VCE make same result. Maximum bps what working is 50 000 000 bps everything higher not working makes files 0 bytes or video format E-AC-3

RogerS wrote on 3/27/2022, 4:41 AM

Does it make a difference if you use a preset other than "high quality?"

Perhaps file a support request and link to this thread.

Test wrote on 3/27/2022, 6:27 AM

If use a preset "default", "high performance" or "high quality" result is same over 50 000 000 bps file 0 bytes

If use a preset " low latency - default", "low latency - high performance" or "low latency high quality " can render higher bitrates, BUT the video flickers from time to time.

Very interesting findings! I wonder what is inherent to VCE encoding and what is a flaw in the way Vegas handles VCE renders.

@Test

Please post Task Manager view while rendering such as this:

fr0sty wrote on 3/27/2022, 11:18 AM

Go to the vegas help menu, use the driver update utility, download and install the driver it recommends.

Systems:

Desktop

AMD Ryzen 7 1800x 8 core 16 thread at stock speed

64GB 3000mhz DDR4

Geforce RTX 3090

Windows 10

Laptop:

ASUS Zenbook Pro Duo 32GB (9980HK CPU, RTX 2060 GPU, dual 4K touch screens, main one OLED HDR)

Test wrote on 3/27/2022, 11:52 AM

Task Manager video decode and video encode be 0% but video codec 1 = 91% video codec 0 = 63% when render.

Help menu driver update utility not find any driver.

Help menu driver update utility not find any driver.

Dann solltest du es auf der Internetseite deiner Grafikkarte versuchen.

fr0sty wrote on 3/27/2022, 5:10 PM

The driver update utility may be malfunctioning. Go to AMD's website and download the latest "Enterprise Pro" driver for your video card. The enterprise drivers work better with apps like VEGAS than the game drivers do, though games still work on enterprise drivers.

i have tried many drivers for the AMD Game and Enterprise Pro but nothing fixed the bug. Now using the latest Enterprise Pro driver

Can you do a test VCE render with a known good project? Here's one you can use that many of us have also tried. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1Exbi4K3hbxw6snJuisR1ble-0tCPVNcIcNnx0BAtSIM/
