Looks like all of us who are reporting this same problem (startup screen, some initializing then it closes) have the same story....

- now we're all experiencing this problem

Any chance there's a time-related bug keeping us from getting in? And no -- disabling the network adapter (or unplugging) did not resolve, nor did rebooting again.

Decided to update, now the system is bricked. Wasted an hour trying to reinstall. Come here and find out this is a huge problem...
opening it just immediately shuts down, sometimes before the splash screen even appears...
can't do my job now... freakin out. Similar to an issue that has been ongoing for years where the program doesnt open when i click it, but in those cases, i just have to go to task manager and end task on mysterious open existences.
wont be sticking with vegas much longer, the issues like this never seem to get fixed...
Had the update installed overnight and now I can't even open VEGAS, thanks team(Genuinely need help on this issue)

Same here - stuck on initalizing and then crashed, on BOTH of my machines, so I know it has nothing to do with my end. I'm panicking.

THIS WORKED! Why did this work I don't know. I did the same as above, I went into windows and manually changed my date, et voila...Vegas opened.
B370 on my desktop and laptop no longer loads. VP Splash screen opens and disappears after 2 seconds. Call me crazy, but I humbly submit, that if you can't open VP, it has nothing to do with B402 since I never installed B402. Can't imagine what is going on. I may have to retrack this, hope I'm not confusing anyone.

Oh god, it really worked! I guess it's Win 11 update, that was released yesterday.

@Rich Parry Have you tried opening with internet disconnected, or manually changing your date? Both work arounds have worked for some other users.
We're trying to get a handle on what's going on. Hopefully it'll be resolved in the morning. For now, as some have already discovered, you can disconnect your computer from the Internet to get around this problem.
It appears this will affect all VEGAS Pro 20 users as well as VEGAS Pro 19 users.

Thanks, I disconnected the internet and I was able to open Vegas Pro 20 without problems.
I disconnected from the Internet and was able to load VP..
I believe VP is not the problem since other apps are affected on my desktop and laptop are affected. I won't explain now since this issue may be clearer in the morning and I don't want to confuse things by spreading misleading information.

After one successful session.. same problem here. Tried also CTRL+SHIFT+ALT combo to clear settings. Tried re-install.
Now everything is stopped until new version or workaround for this is received.

I wish i would have known about this issue prior to uninstalling Vegas pro along with all my plug ins in an effort to fix the issue. I am new to Vegas Pro as of last week and this is now my second issue with this software. really questioning my choice, I almost went with Adobe Premiere.... hopefully it's resolved soon. I also can't manually change the date as i did a soft reset of my PC and the earliest date now is today.

Hi guys, apart from the startup problem, from the previous build and in this new 402/403, the Saphire plugins have completely disappeared. In build 214 all my plugins did show up, but now they don't. any solution to this problem?
Only the BBC and Red Giant Universe plugins appear.
