It appears that MagicYUV hasn't yet been updated for VP 22 ... anyone got any tips that might get it working?
Tried copying the DLL folder + config file, and Vegas just immediately crashes on loading the DLL with an exception.
It's weird - the config and DLL are identical for Vegas 19, 20 and 21. Is there something else that's done to register it?
Did plugins change in some way for 22?
22 changed and broke compatibility with MagicYUV, Voukoder, etc.
I'm also waiting for the new installer as there's no workaround.

Patience. Since MagicYUV is not a Vegas partner, they have to wait until the release to begin upgrading. Usually within a few weeks; they've been very good about it in the past.
Last year took a while to get the installer updated.
The developer for MagicYUV is actually a member of the VEGAS team now. I will ask him.

I personally think that a better approach would be for Vegas to implement its own native lossless render capability. Compressed or uncompressed, preferably options for both.
A closely related issue is the resolution quality of feeds available to 3rd party render plugins. I've already tested both Voukoder plugins with vp22 and no change there yet. I was really hoping the revamp of the render plugin api in vp22 would improve things. Not clear if the new vp22 api does make a higher quality feed an option available which Voukoder has yet to implement, the Vegas render plugin api not being public and likely subject to nda. Fwiw, the Voukoder developer in the past acknowledged the obvious: that his plugin render quality would in fact be limited by its input feed.
