Vegas Pro MultiCam Crossfade Editing

How do you bloody select ALL of the Transitions AFTERwards to be crossfades? I realize you can do them one at a time, or in 'real time', using Control Z, etc. but if I want to select ALL cuts/transitions the Crossfade selection does NOT seem to work. I've tried selecting all events, copy and pasting attributes, etc. What am I MISSING? (NOT sure, if this is DIFFERENT in MultiCam Editing mode!)

@Scot-Clayton Hiya someone will give you more info & extras you can buy but Vegas does not have the option to select all transitions,, you can make a setting that adds a crossfade automatically to each event when it is imported, then if you select some or all, add a transition to one that then will be applied to all selected, but not the length, the length is determined by the orig crossfade you gave each event, & after that you have no choice but to edit each transition individually, 🤦‍♂️😒

I know because I used MEP for yrs, it will let you add the transition to all or all after the cursor & change the length of all transitions with just 2 clicks,

@Scot-Clayton, the simplest way is to use a script. You can design your own script using the tutorials on my YouTube channel (you can access them through www.jetdv.com) or you can use a pre-written script that will perform this task (such as the one I wrote - Excalibur - but there are others too).

TNX, but I notice your scripts apply only up to 18. Will they work with Vegas Pro 19?

Excalibur works fine in 19. The latest version is "14+".

@Scot-Clayton I have a way to do it that works for me. First I set the crossfade I like in Preferences, General, Cut to Overlap Conversion. I generally go with 1/2 to 1 second. I also prefer setting Alignment right below it to After Cut... I tend to make my cuts with an eye on the audio track right before a beat or word. When in multicam/multitrack mode, clicking on one of the camera screens while the ctrl key is down does the cut with a crossfade. When done I expand back to the original tracks. If you keep the unused muted clips on expansion, all the crossfades and overlaps will be there. I usually drop the muted clips, however, in which case the overlaps are there but the crossfades are gone... I consider that a bug. But it's easy enough to fix. I just group all the clips and then select them all. Then a crossfade applied manually to one clip gets applied identically to them all.
