Vegas Pro "Protype Titler" deserves an update

It depends on what I want to get. If I want to quickly place a standard text somewhere on my film without much interest, I always use "Titles & Text".
But if I want to make a nice personalized text intro that attracts all the attention, I use without doubt "ProType title"!
I place "Title & Text" more with the amateurish text editors and "ProType title" for professional purposes!

Interesting, because I find this to be the opposite since it's not all that difficult to create a simple text, say white on black for an entire paragraph while Titles & Text can't get near the way justification is done in this new version of PTP automatically to make both the left and right sides of the block have perfect kerning. At least I can't remember achieving this in T&T. But that might be just because I never figured out it's done there.

I remember this message and found it appropriate in this forum : ProType Titler the most powerful native effect in Vegas Pro!

Look at the wise words from Andrew Devis!

Due to this thread, i reluctantly gave ProType Titler another run thru last night after leaving it in the dust for many years, and i was pretty surprised at what it can really accomplished when you really think about it..... It had some serious potential if it was taken up seriously into further development.

And that’s the BIG “if” I’ve been left with. Moving on...again...

@Reyfox The short answer is 'No' (or at least, I've not found a way). You'd have to introduce your object on another track and synchronize it with the text element with key-frames (but I'm sure you already know that 🙂).

No, but you can always use symbols from fonts, and animate these into ProType Titler himself.

Look at the message a write on 12/21/2020, 5:38 PM in this forum.

And look at an older message which I had sent "ProType Titler Improvements on 12/18/2019, 7:17 AM" last year.

@Amivideotek - Not convinced. It appears that the underlying Motion Animation is still the same. What I’m seeing here is that that motion has been Slowed down - well, it would. Now, if you could show me how each Letter could be affected, then that’s something else. Until I see otherwise, these Animations are baked-in, like my Christmas Goose! 😉

Reyfox wrote on 12/30/2020, 6:10 AM

@Grazie yes, canned animation like cranberry sauce. But they are there along with all the other abilities it has. But again, I also have Boris and NBFX title programs.

@Grazie Forgive me, but you're wrong. The original animation was a Parabola Bounce. I replaced it with a Modular Sine. Why don't you try it for yourself instead of being so negative? As to showing you how each letter is affected, it's called a Cascade effect and you can read all about it in the Pro Type Titler help.

@Reyfox et tu, Brute?
