I am on the verge or purchasing the newest version of VEGAS Pro, but I have a really frustrating issue.
I am trying to use my GeForce RTX 3090 graphics card for GPU acceleration of video processing, but when I preview my footage, most of the footage in the Video Preview window is choppy and there is an extremely frustrating series of jagged parts in many frames that I can't seem to get rid of while previewing my footage in the Video Preview window. I have gone through a lot of forums and YouTube videos trying to solve the issue, but nothing has worked.
I have three options for GPU acceleration in the Video Preview preferences window:
- Off
- Optimal - Intel(R) UHD Graphics 770
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090
The issue I described above happens if I choose either "Off" or "NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090." However, when I select "Optimal - Intel(R) UHD Graphics 770" the issue does not happen and the video plays back smoothly.
Because my NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 is far more powerful than the Intel(R) UHD Graphics 770, I would like to utilize it for previewing my video and let Vegas utilize my hardware for more efficiency and performance.
I am really hoping someone knows how to fix this, because I am starting to lose my mind.
Attached is a video I recorded of my screen, so you can see exactly what I am seeing when I am viewing and playing back footage in the Video Preview window. Hopefully this gives you a better idea of what I mean when I say "choppy" and "jagged."
Two last notes: This issue has nothing to do with any kind of rolling shutter issue or CMOS sensor side effects. Also, I am using Windows 10.
