VP19 Window layout issues

VP19

Loooong time Vegas user.

As the title says. Once I arrange my windows to suit my workflow, I "save as", but the saved layout is gone when I re-open the project. Also, when I re-open the project, I would assume the same window layout would appear? It isn't. Any suggestions?

Do you mean in "View, Window Layouts"? Need to go there then either "Save Layout" if you want to overwrite the layout you're using or "Save Layout As" if you want to create a new layout. Just exiting successfully and/or doing "Save As" should preserve your layout changes for the next time you start Vegas but won't save them as a menu layout you can select after making more layout changes.

Thanks, Howard. That is what I mean, and I am doing precisely that. VIEW>WINDOW LAYOUTS>SAVE LAYOUT AS, and my "Save As" layout disappeared the next time I opened Vegas. See attached. One screenshot of the saved GMTMT layout and then screenshot on restart.... gone! It's vanished on restart.

Might double check that the current layout folder selection is correct. Should be "C:\Users\<login>\AppData\Roaming\VEGAS Pro\19.0\" and is select-able with "Organize Layouts,Browse".

Okay. I've never messed with this before but have gone into ORGANISE>BROWSE and my saved layout was sitting there in the left column. So I've now assigned and activated. It's still visible after several close program / open program attempts. I think it may be solved mate, thank you! That was super frustrating having to get my layout right every time I opened a project.

Okay, so it's still unresolved as when I open my project today the layout loses its assignment number. Guess I'll have to live with it.

Anyone solve this?
Just happened to me during an update to Build 636. Super pissed. Had the system setup to be efficient and now I'm losing productivity trying to play with something that shouldn't have happened. Said it before, I'm closer and closer to getting a Mac and FCP.

@jason-s5614 They are still there, you just need to go into Organize Layouts > Browse and reload them.

@jason-s5614 ... Please look through this post which very quickly raises this as an issue. I've also had to reset my VP Windows layouts for b636. Keeping things in perspective, yes it's an inconvenience, but it's not an the end of the world issue - surely not?
