Effectively, you will only need the vcomp140.dll in VisualCppRedist_AIO_x86_x64.exe\2022\x64\System64 from the VisualCppRedist_AIO_x86_x64_92.zip file released on https://github.com/abbodi1406/vcredist/releases/tag/v0.92.0

I uploaded it here.

Unzip it directly into the VEGAS installation directory.

This fixed it for me, thank you.

I can't believe Magix hasn't fixed this yet.

@Stillnet Microsoft fixed it already.

@Stillnet Microsoft fixed it already.

I'm on Windows 11 with the latest updates, and I'm on the latest version of Vegas, and it broke. I even completely uninstalled Vegas and re-installed it, which did not fix it. So I wouldn't say it's fixed yet. What fixed it was following the instructions in this thread about copying vcomp140.dll into the Vegas program directory.

I'm guessing it broke for me because it possible for other software can break it, due to how Magix has built their Vegas software. It is a fixable problem, there is a discussion about how to do it in this thread. They need to build Vegas with a more modern C++ library, or bundle the necessary libraries so that installing other software doesn't break their product.

Other software installed an old broken version. Getting the latest from MS would also fix it.

Yes. Getting the last what from MS would fix it? As a user who pays for this software, I have a reasonable expectation that it will work, and that installing additional software on my computer won't break it.

I think what broke it is when I updated my video driver - and I did that in hopes it would fix another bug I am encountering in Vegas (I made a separate post about that). Updating my Intel video driver should not break Vegas.

What- Visual C++ libraries. Did you not read the previous pages of this thread?

If it was an Intel video driver they bundled other software with it that breaks Vegas and other programs. However the latest driver no longer does that according to this user: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/intel-a770-driver-update-2-13-26-causes-vegas-22-23-to-not-work--150922/#ca951363

I downloaded the Fixer tool and ran it as Administrator. VP22 on Windows 11 still won't run at all. I don't use VS2026, but I have Intel graphics, and supposedly an update to those drivers caused a similar issue. Anyone have a solution to get VP22 running?

@IAM4UK Did you try the Microsoft fix?

Yes, I downloaded and installed both the x86 and x64 Visual C++ Redistributable, which is now version 14.50.35719
This changed one thing: when I click to start VP22, the Splash Screen now flashes before the error report stating that the program stopped.
