What's the average response-time from a reported bug?

Hi!

Just wondering -- what has everyone experienced in terms of response-time for bugs which are reported? I reported two bugs (after confirming other users experiencing similar problem via the forums) 7 days ago, but other than the automated ticket, haven't heard back from anyone.

Just wondering if this typically is a few days.. a few weeks.. or no reply at all and we'll just wait and see if it shows up in a future release? What's standard procedure?

🙂 Rob

According to my observation, this is completely random. The fastest is a few minutes, and the slowest is ten years. It all depends on their mood and decision makers. 😂

For bugs where tech support doesn't have a solution there may be no real response. When it gets addressed depends on severity and how many people it affects. I see some bugs reported here getting patched quite fast.

Wouldn't give it much hope this year, with so much activity around the holidays. "Average" times don't apply right now.

@rock-c @RogerS @mark-y Not urgent.. just .. it'd be nice to know that someone actually looks at them after we take the time to research and submit them. The auto-reply "here's your ticket" is helpful.. just still wondering if it ever gets looked at.

In my perfect world, we could access the tracking system and see a status.. heck, even see a prioritized list of bug reports. But that level of transparency I'm sure could lead to all sorts of whining from those who aren't getting their issues fixed first so.. well, there's that ;-) I get it.

You may only get this level of service in Boris FX.😂 Their senior leaders will answer your every question patiently and politely.
Similarly, some users mentioned that Reaper officials will also attach great importance to responding to users.

I think they do get passed even if there isn't much or any feedback. Do keep submitting them (and I will too).
