why does this video open with no content

I imported this video I screen recorded on my iPhone. It plays fine on Videos with all the contentbut when imported into Sony Vegas the whole video is simply this green screen for the 50 minute duration. There is also heavy lag and Vegas keeps not responding and force closing. Yes, this is probably partially due to my rubbishy laptop but I don't think it is completely. The file is MP4 with, I believe, an avc codec. Can anyone determine why? Thanks. P.S. I get no errors like "this file is incompatible". Also, the audio does work.

Also, do a forum search for "iPhone mp4" This is a known problem with the decoder dll and I believe there is workaround.

I will try this but the extension is .mp4 when looking in properties.
