RE: a few thoughts about Vegas multicam editing
A multicam track isn't needed to display a preview of what is happening on the tracks on the timeline... just enable multicam mode and you get your split screen MC view, the tracks remain the same. When you make a cut to, say, camera 2, it splits

RE: What is the best way to reduce shimmering video noise?
@Musicvid I'm tone deaf so the clips sounded the same to me. But anyway when you slow a clip doesn't Vegas by default maintain the pitch? The elastique plugin is a kind of early pitch resampler; it was ok for speech, but introduced a lot of flanging

RE: is there a way to make vegas remember the fx panel status?
OK, your right. I also find my words somewhat offensive. About multicam editing, my workflow would be 1, take the basic color balance at media level (or camera level) 2, adjust individual color tune at event level ...the less plugins you use, the

RE: a few thoughts about Vegas multicam editing
I'm not sure I understand...how do you see what's happening on all the other cams simultanously? And this would mean muting / unmuting like 4 or 6 tracks manually for each cut? A multicam track isn't needed to display a preview of what is happening

RE: Vegas likes the Intel Arc A380
Did a short 4k 60fps 2-camera shoot yesterday and it gave me some meat to sink the Arc into. Set 1 cam for xavc 4:2:2 and the other for hevc 4:2:0. Noticed some curious things. When both the Arc and uhd750 igpu are enabled, Voukoder does not see

RE: a few thoughts about Vegas multicam editing
I say ditch the multicam track all together...there's no need for it to exist, just apply all edits directly to the timeline when in MC mode. If performance is affected doing it that way, then save the keystrokes/mouse clicks that switch angles,

PE4 AND Audio SyncR are crashing v20
Hi all I got a 2 track multicam to edit, with MXF HD footage made on a Panasonic. Every time I try and synch the 2 cams on Plural eyes, V20 crashes. Shortly after PE is preparing the sync, there is a message in PE " vegas is working", which never

RE: a few thoughts about Vegas multicam editing
@DMT3, there's actually a short video here: http://www.jetdv.com/excalibur55/multicam.php It's using Excalibur 5.5 but the process is the same in 6. Effects can be added at the media or event level and those effects will be kept. It does create a

RE: Vegas Pro MultiCam Crossfade Editing
How do you bloody select ALL of the Transitions AFTERwards to be crossfades? I realize you can do them one at a time, or in 'real time', using Control Z, etc. but if I want to select ALL cuts/transitions the Crossfade selection does NOT seem to

    RE: Log 10bit 4:2:2
Does Vegas work well with HEVC/h265? Not especially. Definitely not in 10 bit 4:2:2 which doesn't benefit from GPU decoding either. Being in 32-bit mode in Vegas reduces performance even further. The workaround is to use proxy files (right-click on

BUG! Crash on VFX1.OFX adding basic MediaFX with "Preview" preview!

I had the same issue recently with a 4k 2 track multicam project. Each letter took 2-3 seconds to appear in the text. I had never seen that before.

    RE: Glueing events
@Bruggeling You can add Media FXs to a locked event but not Video FXs. @Jack S I think the precise terms are (instead of video FXs) "Video Event FX" (just on that particular event) or "Track FX" (effect all events on a given track) and the third, as

RE: Seeking RECOMMENDATION: Least CPU & GPU-load proxy format
Not sure if hardware decoding can handle 9 AVC streams at a time. I have the same CPU and iGPU as that and use the 720p XDCAM proxies Vegas builds itself. Haven't tried multicams with 9 cameras, though.

    RE: Color correction and multicamera
Are you doing the color correction on the media in the Project Media? That will follow that media everywhere. If you want to use color correction at the event level, you could use a 3rd party multi-cam tool (such as Excalibur) instead. But for the

This is plugin-chain, or FilterPackage as VEGAS calls, it should be located at the 1st one in God's eye when you open the chain. Even so, it's not "That's hundreds and hundreds of unnecessary mouse clicks.".   I am on a multicam project where I

In case you didn't know it already, I find this very useful and will try it on my next multicam matching issue. I 've never had good results with Vegas' internal color match function.https://www.cinematch.com/

RE: Two simple things that make Vegas a superior NLE
I am sure others may not agree, but after trying other NLE programs, I have found two things that make Vegas so much easier to use, that those two alone keep me from using others. The first is the ability to zoom the timeline using the mouse wheel.

Is this possible to do with scripting?
I recently edited a multicam project, finished it, expanded the tracks back out from the single multicam track, and started work on coloring. Once I got one scene where I liked it, I was able to copy/paste my color grading onto all the other events

Seeking RECOMMENDATION: Least CPU & GPU-load proxy format
Hi! Really reallllly could use some Proxy optimization tips here... I've wasted too much time experimenting.. hoping someone here might have a magix bullet. I build my proxies (swapping primary for proxy, then swapping back during finishing stage)
