RE: [Closed] VEGAS Pro 18 Coming In August!
Magix doesn't make cameras, video switchers, and other hardware that it needs software to help sell. BlackMagic can afford to sell Resolve for next to nothing because its development is funded from the sale of their hardware. Yet despite that, it

Just to confirm that my results still seriously disappointing like a lot of others GPU as well as CPU hardly loaded in either preview or render processes. Previews of M2TS 3D footage in just HD (1080 25i) as well as some other formats with Preview

RE: OpenCL benchmarks and preview performance?
@cliff_622 Some "other famous Windows editors" use background rendering, a feature that carries its own price on system performance. Attributing that to OpenCL is probably a mistake. The other NLE's were getting complaints about 10-bit GH5 before

UPDATED ~~ Fixing the "Pale Screen of Misery" ~~
This is a type of screen image that often precedes a Vegas crash. It often occurs during periods of heavy editing, such as rapid scrubbing, system-intensive plugins, editing while looping, or excessive / large media in your project. Sometimes, it

    RE: Vegas Pro Vs Resolve
I fail to see the "vs." thing. Resolve is free so there isn't any competition. I use both on the same projects without judgment. Free, but only if you are happy without proper hardware acceleration support for encoding and decoding, and quite a few

RE: Even Magix Video Pro X has improved multi-timeline and keyframe graph
@FayFen  I have spent some time to look into Video Pro X. It seems that Video Pro X has more improved : real m I just tried it. 4K60fps playback with transitions. no lag at all, 16% cpu. I then put a huge about of vfx on, no lag except during

    Vegas Pro for the Precariat?
I would like the Vegas staff to weigh-in with policy and thoughts. There are videographers like me who are in the grey area between pro and enthusiast, pushing to make pro. Often it is feast or famine with more famine. To that end, I need tools I

RE: VMS 17 crashes when I try to open an VMS 16 project.
Sorry to say that this driver upgrade did not fix this issue. I updated the driver from a 2015 version to a 2020 version from Intel's website. The program crashes with the new driver just as before when the "Enable Hardware...." box is checked. The

RE: V17 MP4 video render goes black after 30 secs, audio continues; V14 ok
If you have not tried updating to the latest studio driver from Nvidia, try that and see if you're able to turn that stuff back on, because it does make a big difference in the playback performance you get when editing. Edit: Nevermind, I see you

I don't know if you may call it a bug.It also could be a reduction of the Movie Studio Pl version. Look to my screenshots on the same hardware, the first of VMS 16 pl and the second of VPro 17 with added the H264 and the H265 file I take you

Hi! Sorry to hear about your inconveniences with Vegas. I use Vegas professionally and have since 2008 with hundreds of commercial projects successfully finished. There was a time when Vegas was rather unstable, I think from version 11 and on to 14

Try using the Magix AVC codec and see if you have the same issues. If updating your GPU driver does not help, just as a test I would download the demo of Vegas 17 and render using it (that will also open up new GPU rendering options with Magix AVC
