RE: Apply motion to multiple tracks at once
So I've found a problem with this solution: The track motion which is applied to the parent track essentially creates a "box" which slides across the screen. All child tracks appear to move along the screen as per the parent track motion, however if

RE: Track Motion - Crete/Copy Keyframes
@Jorge-Vegas, Ok, when dealing with Track Motion keyframes, please make sure you are dealing with a VIDEO track (not just a "track"). Then you can add a new keyframe like this: VideoTrack vTrack = (VideoTrack)myTrack; TrackMotionKeyframe newKF =

RE: How do I resize and position an image?
But as another esteemed member of the forum has pointed out a number of times over the years, tracks are cheap in Vegas Pro. I have no hesitation in devoting an entire track to one image to enable desired framing (but with no keyframing needed - but

RE: Luma or Chroma Key very very slow
For me it's all Project size dependant, (There's multiple chromakeys on the green screens + Charcoal to create the edge effect (Glow from Track motion), & at the bottom there's an assortment of AVC, HEVC & MOV/ProRes, I see no slow down when

This might be a good start: Thanks! I was not sure what to call the feature in motion tracking. I will give this video a look :)

RE: Smart Mask (AI assisted automatic masking) Introduction
I wonder if the Vegas team is headed down the right track here, I have recently looked at the Da Vinchi Resolve's new masking tool and ask is this the better way to go. Just wondering, maybe Vegas will get this right. I haven't looked at this

RE: What frame-size is handed to NEAT Video-- project or actual media res?
Applying Neat Video at the Media level I really don't think is a grand idea... In many tests over the years, I have come to the conclusion that kernel-level filters, including Neat, are almost always better applied to the source media than at a

RE: Picture In Picture
Ok, I'm not seeing anything odd in any of these images. It's best to use the tools to perform their desired task: 1. Pan/Crop - affects the one event - designed to crop an image and allow panning across the image. In this case, you would not be

RE: Shadow problem
1. turn OFF the "split screen view" 2. In your Track Motion window "Shadow" is not selected but it really looks like you've moved it way off to the left and down (the second x/y to the left of the box)

RE: [Solved] Any chance to make this ?
You could manually duplicate tracks and use a motion blur or gaussian blur on the background one- search for online tutorials for this. Newer versions of Vegas also have "Black Bar Fill" Fx that makes this very easy. Overview .

Vegas Pro 20 Track, can't choose the right thing
I explain my problem in this video: basically it put the tracked values into "motionblur.shutter angle" instead of "hotspot" aka position. It works fine with the normal LensFlare, but it's bugged with the s_lensflare (sapphire)It's so frustrating

RE: Insert Track Motion Points at Exact Time Separation

Motion tracking with text in back of video
I'm hoping someone will create a tutorial on how to motion track with text behind the moving video footage using V20?I've been able to struggle and accomplish it with prior versions but V20 seems to work a bit differently. I've tried over and over

RE: Faster way to delete presets?
You should find pan/crop presets in the Regisrty at: For VP20: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\VEGAS Creative Software\VEGAS Pro\20.0\Metrics\Application Or for VP19 and earlier: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Sony Creative Software\VEGAS

RE: How do I resize and position an image?
If your goal is to have an image not zooming but resized, then I would concede that the Track Motion works around the size limitation of Pan/Crop so might be the better choice. But if you are actually ZOOMING (moving) and if you can work around the

RE: How to prevent auto-resize? What's the point of "disable resample"?
I agree, it's not easy (unless I'm missing something). As a sanity check I just did the same thing in Photoshop- 1920x1080p canvas and brought a 500p image in and stuck it in the corner. With the same 500p original image in VEGAS I went to pan/crop

yes it's not quantized....I actually do that for a reason for my editing flow and later visibility, I know it's weird. I don't change the project setting once I start the editing...I actually delete the audio track later. Correct, about the

[Solved] Vegas Pro 18 - I cannot move the bezier mask frame to frame

RE: Some final questions
1. Pan/Crop is the correct way to do it. Pan/Crop will work with the full resolution of the image. Track Motion works with the video frame so zooming in you'll lose resolution. So do your zooming and panning with Pan/Crop. 2. No, it doesn't matter.

So when do we get Bézier curves for track motion?
So now in v20 there’s transition Bézier curves, and of course the existing motion tracking… but still no actual event/track/parent motion Bézier tools??? Ain’t upgrading until that exists!

RE: Moving video behind of a mask
@Godzinhu I'm not 100% sure what you're doing because you have Motion Tracker in the fx chain before Pan/Crop, Whatever tracking you've done may be being counteracted by your keyframes in Pan/Crop but apart from the 1st keyframe there's no other

RE: Changing video speed ruins everything.
Now I want to speed it up. I'm very familar with ctrl+drag but the problem is the mask tracking does not inherit the increased speed, nor do the keyframes in the Track Motion. Is there a way I can get all of these to play together nicely? Thanks
