    RE: Multicam Workflow Question
treat the timeline as you would any other timeline, That's where I ran into the problem. On a normal non-multicam-edited timeline, I've always been able to just split and drag and ripple moved everything. It doesn't work on a timeline that had

RE: Vegas Pro MultiCam Crossfade Editing
@Howard-Vigorita Thanks 👍😊 How do you bloody select ALL of the Transitions AFTERwards to be crossfades? I realize you can do them one at a time, or in 'real time', using Control Z, etc. but if I want to select ALL cuts/transitions the Crossfade

RE: A Candid Story from a User Who Wants to Keep Using VEGAS Pro 23
@MikeLV The big advantage I find with my Vegas multicam workflow is that I can pretty easily tweak cuts among cameras after expansion without starting over or rendering a new intermediate. I only render a new intermediate of audio mixdowns when I

RE: VEGAS Pro 23 build 278 General Discussion
RogerS, thank you, I'll get back to you, briefly my workflow is shoot multicam with Panasonic 990-series cameras, prep files - colour correction and if need be zoom in, sometimes I downrender to 1080p from 4k and imagemix to archive file for final

RE: File I/O -> Experimental HEVC decoding: Has severe problem with a clip
What @RogerS said. I would only use Experimental Hevc on footage from a camera that doesn't work with the vp22 default decoder. Which is impractical in multicam combined with footage that works better with the default. I would just transcode the

RE: A Candid Story from a User Who Wants to Keep Using VEGAS Pro 23
Due to not being able to use multicamera editing in Vegas, I started looking at other programs. I looked at Corel's Pinnacle video studio, but it really stunk. I also looked at Kdenlive which was pretty impressive, but I'm too used to Vegas to

V22 New Multicam Audio Sync question
Maybe premature to ask, but...Can the new New Multicam Audio Sync feature be used as a general tool or is it restricted to Multicam projects? For example could it be used to synchronize a pair of 3D clips prior to pairing them?Or could it be used for

@PeterH really nice! Questions coming.... 1. What mics used on the drums? Oh, and his ending was great! 2. What did you use to mix everything? 3. What mixing equipment did you use? 4. Cameras? How long did it take you to edit things?

    RE: Mixed GPU systems
Fwiw, I got the absolute best, smooth, and creamy display performance doing 4k 4:2:0 hevc multicam cuts plugged into an Intel a770 set to both video and i/o decoder. And audio mixing was fine too. But not so much with video FX in the picture. At the

    RE: Vegas Crashes
This is very strange; I wonder what the cause could be.Most of my video files are stored on external USB HD drives though I do use VEGAS and Windows on an internal SSD. If a project needs more performance (multicam) I'll move files to a working SSD.

RE: Automatic fade transitions in Multicamera Edit
From the Help file: TIP Holding the Ctrl key while choosing a take will create a crossfade instead of a cut, with the alignment and duration determined by the Cut-to-overlap conversion settings from the Editing tab of the Preferences dialog. For

    RE: Vegas 23 decoding bug
I’ll try switching my camera settings to 4:2:0 10-bit HEVC in the next few days and see if the problem persists. @Andreas-T I've been doing multicam using 4k hevc 4:2:0 10bit for years with Zcam & Canon cameras with great success. I too just

Rendering from the multicam preview window
I edit multicam videos, using the enable multicam editing button. I can see the 3 camera angles and the one active at that moment. I would like to render this exact 3 camera and one selected to a video so my client can review my choices. What I have

RE: Automatic fade transitions in Multicamera Edit

RE: Updating an SD MiniDV project to HD in Vegas Pro 23
I've been doing Vegas AI Upscales from HD to 4K but only for the individual hd/ptz I embed on-stage while using 4k cameras for everything else which I shoot from farther away. HD to 4K for a 2- to 3-hour concert takes many hours, even with a 5080

@CosmicOutpost So got the trial version of Vegas22 but there is no credit included in the trial to try the speech to text function! After finding out the multicam audio sync doesn't sync audio well I might just stick with version 19. 🙁 Just curious,

    Multicam Workflow Question

    RE: Multicam Workflow Question

    RE: Multicam Workflow Question
I don't follow what you're saying about pip. My issue isn't with the multicam cuts part. It's making edits after making the cuts. You can't ripple edit because it goes out of sync when you try to make edits after expanding back out to multiple

    RE: Multicam Workflow Question
I've never been able to overcome this problem using the multicam editing feature in Vegas. I spent today trying to figure out another way to edit multi-camera video without all of the problems I cited in this post And I think I've got the solution.
