Multicam> Expand to Multiple Tracks: Workflow q and Bug r
Brainstrust, I've shot a Yoga vid with a single cam / multiple angles. Needless to say the timecode doesn't match, and the duration of the sequences are different every time since this isn't a music vid. After I synchronized the start point, there's

RE: Editing - Multi-Camera - VMS16
Thanks both. Musicvid - it's in Movie Studio 16 Platinum. I used it in 15 and there are lots of tutorials (and the options in the program) - so it's clearly possible.j-v - I've followed every step in the tutorial as well as others - but I can't

RE: Take #'s oddly sized in Multi-cam mode?
I've generated my own 720p MPEG2 version of the 4K file and swapped it for the original after deleting Vegas-generated proxy. My 720p file also then is upscaled to the project propertis and then downsized again for the multicam -- and it looks

RE: Take #'s oddly sized in Multi-cam mode?
The bad look probably is from proxy files are always 1280 x 720. So they are downscaled from your 2k and 4k footage to build the proxy files and then upscaled to the project properties again and downsized again for the multicam view while being used

RE: AMD Radeon Vll or Nvidia 2070 Super?
Been beating my Radeon VII / 9900k system relentlessly the last few months editing and rendering multicam 2 to 5 hour projects with vp17 and it's been rock solid. Except for occasional work-arounds of some lingering Vegas bugs. But no driver or

RE: Keeping Crop in "virtual camera" when using Multi-cam
Sorry for the hasty read. I always render my pre-multicam tracks to new ones so I'll have ready backups in case I flub the edit. So for my workflow, that is where I would apply Pan/Crop, essentially the same as @Former user's first suggestion.

RE: Aligning using Timecode... one track per camera instead of multiples
@Former user I read the help :) But thanks for the reminder in case I hadn't.. always a good place to start. I also searched these forums before posting.Whether you multi-select the clips in Project Media and say "layout tracks using timecode", or

RE: professional color grading tutorial - please help me - long story...
As far as I know the Baumann Color Match plugin is still available. Did you search this forum?? You will need to ask the third party plugin developers how their algorithms work. They are not made by Magix. The link here still seems to work:

RE: Audio not synced in speeded up parts after enabling multi cam editing
Tho only effects that are retained when you enable multicam are those that were previously applied at the Media level. Stretch/velocity applied as Track effects will be lost. I always save a full duplicate set of tracks on the timeline for

RE: Audio not synced in speeded up parts after enabling multi cam editing
Before I use multicam mode, I always save a version as it is. Then you can revert if something goes wrong such as this.

Audio not synced in speeded up parts after enabling multi cam editing
I spent a few days editing lots of clips with a lot of those parts speeded up 400%. I then added a second video track at about the 10 minute mark and enabled multicam editing. Now all of the previous speeded up parts have audio that is out of sync

Vegas not remembering button/state after exit/start for Multi-cam
As we try making the native Vegas multi-cam workflow working for us, I've encounter some oddities perhaps others have run across.. wondering if this is a bug or some settings we're overlooking? Here's one. After setting up the multi-cam project and

RE: Group placing inside region/regions
When you click Apply to place multicam events within the Region Vegasaur creates a crossfade on the first or last event hack to try to adjust multicam events within the region. This is as expected and vegasaur is working correctly in this case.

RE: Building a proxy (pre-rendered) video to speed up multi-cam editing
Thanks for the reply! I understand Vegas proxies are large uncompressed files which make them quick for decode, but large in size. Throw that up with 7 or 8 concurrent streams multicam and I am pretty sure Vegas will drop frames when editing in fast

RE: Building a proxy (pre-rendered) video to speed up multi-cam editing
Vegas does have a proxy system, just right click on a clip in project media and select "create video proxy" (you can ctrl+a all clips to do this quickly). This creates 720p proxies of all the clips that are only visible if preview quality is set to

RE: VP17 Build 353 Unusable - Reinstalled B321. Back working . . . so far

RE: Multiple cameras choppy playback and slow render times VP14+
Hey @Musicvid.. I'm a huge Excaliber fan for our multi-cam work -- it's nondestructive way of editing and only building the master track upon completion is superior IMO -- the ability to apply event-level FX, pan/crop, etc and have them preserved.
