New Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 17 tutorials

Steve Grisetti wrote on 5/17/2020, 9:20 AM

I've just uploaded a batch of new tutorials and demos of the new features in Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 17 to YouTube (as well as a fresh, new 8-part Basic Training tutorial set).

The Screen Capture tool

The new Slow Motion effect

The Warp Flow transition and Lens Correction tools

The Multicam Auto Sync tool

And here's Part 1 of my Basic Training set

Thanks!

Thanks for all the great work you do Steve. I was wondering if the upgrade from 16 to 17 was worth the $60.00. For that much money you would think you'd almost get an entirely new program, not just a better way to sort some effects and a better color corrector. I'd value your opinion. Thanks. Cin

I'm not Steve, but I think only you yourself can judge the value of an upgrade for you personally. This can be tested with the free 30-day trial. About the only restrictions are the less than 2 minutes rendering and the watermark in it. Also going through his excellent (as always) new tutorials might give you some clues.

Anyway, one personal user opinion here, post #13 "In summation, VMSP 17 is excellent, a joy to work with."

I'm with you, it all depends on one works and system. personally I don't see major update from 16 to 17 and I'm sure lot of the annoyances still there, may be those with pre16 find 17 OK.

Let see what 18 will bring.

The much faster startup time in VMS 17 compared to 16, when you have many third-party plugins, I reckon is worth the upgrade alone!

I have no idea how long it took to load on your system but if it was that long why you bother closing it at all.

Because I have only 16 GB memory on my desktop system and I sometimes need to open other things, like Vegas Pro, Photoshop, plus another user is often logged on with about 50 tabs left open in the browser, so it's easy to run out of memory. :)
