Vegas Sony Slog3 LUT vs SONY LUT vc ACES - strong differences.
Hi all, so on WolfgangS's recommendation, I started experimenting with ACES. The results are astonishing, and it turns out ACES is far superior to basic 709 transform LUTs ( so no specific cinematic color or look enhancing 709 LUTs) in term of color

RE: Vegas 22 Pro - HDR still unusable (for me)
I am coming to the conclusion that HDR on iPhone is just best avoided! Maybe more because of the blocking and HLG as aquisition format. ACES color space: Default (ACES2065-1) This mode is still a questionmark at the moment.

RE: Question: 8 vs 10-bit HEVC Renders?
Here's something interesting: Claude says yes, it can make sense to render 8-bit projects with 10-bits-per-pixel (instead of 8) when encoding to HEVC because HEVC compression algorithms are optimized for 10-bit color depth, and so tend to give

RE: ProRes Weirdness in Vegas 22
That is concerning. Was the HEVC rendered in VP 22 or 20? Are you on build 194 of 22? What are your project settings- are you in 32-bit mode (ACES?) or 8-bit full? In a quick test using color gradients generated in VEGAS, a photo test image and a

RE: Vegas Pro 22 Horrifically Slow HVEC rendering
You can add two LUTs via the CGP at once. (input and output). You could also apply the two correction ones to the media as CGP at the media level and then a look LUT via CGP at the track level.Or use third-party software to merge the gamma and

RE: Color Grading To Media FX has an issue.
No media was selected in your 'Project Media' window. The color grading panel attempts to connect to a selected event or track on the timeline, or to a selected media in the 'Project Media' window. Currently, the focus is not on the selected event

RE: Need a script for changing media's alpha channel.
I understand. I made the PNG from the JPG in Classic Paint and the Color Space was changed to show RGBA where no actual transparency existed. The implication to me is that transparency doesn't have to be present, it just has to be possible based on

RE: Need a script for changing media's alpha channel.
@jetdv That appears to be correct. An Aside It appears that Classic Paint in Windows 11 adds the Color Space parameter where none existed before: That's probably why it always seemed to fix the problem.

I'm seeing it on your attached screenshot, particularly noticeable on the left hand side. I wouldn't worry about that....😱 it just makes it stand out a little from the background. Same example just with a colored background.

In that case it sounds too inflexible and reduces the benefit of shooing log so I wouldn't use this LUT and would use a separate teal/blue finishing LUT once the image contrast and exposure are set using tools like the 3 way color
