RE: Best PC for Video Editing?
"Sorry, but I do disagree with you simply because of my own experience. Once you look into multi camera editing, there is no single drive that will do the job, not even a single SSD can handle the demand of a 6 camera 1080 60p edit" I do 5-6

RE: Multicam editing
That would sound like you already created the multicam track. In that case Vegas will show only one track on the timeline. No worries, press CTRL+SHIFT+D and you should see the multicam preview. This keyboard combinations enables toggling the

Multicam editing
I have created a (two camera, one audio) multi cam project following the tutorials - synchronising audio, enabling multitrack editing, creating multicam track. All worked ok with the preview showing the two video tracks. However, I had to save and

RE: Rendering 4K ProRes Formats
I just rendered a piece of a UHD multicam footage (GH5, 2 x WX970M's & AX55) in ProRes XQ from Vegas Pro 14, and imported the file into FCPX which seems to play/edit it fine. (I just started to use FCPX and haven't done much editing so I am

RE: PC refresh question
I said SATA striped raid, not M.2. If you want to start raiding M.2 you're talking about a lot of additional cost to your build, and I edit 4K multicam good enough as it is using my SATA video drives. I don't put video on my system M.2 drive. I'll

RE: PC refresh question
I don't need raid controllers, my system drive is faster than any SATA striped raid configuration Well, I doubt that too. M.2 RAIDS are very very fast and when you do 4K multicam editing you will see what I mean. There is only so much storage a

RE: When Vegas Pro 15 ?
Probably not far off, once you see a 40% off offer like this https://diyvideoeditor.com/ I noticed the Multicam Capture plugin for Pinnacle Studio, now that would be something if Vegas could do it! Especially if it would work as BMD or other multi

RE: Panasonic 4k MP4 Files
I now have some experience with the Panasonic VX981k. It's one of 4 cameras in an multicam edit, so I let it build the proxy. That takes real time, i.e., if the video is an hour, it takes an hour to build the proxy. This is on a AMD 8350 8 core

RE: V14 preview speed
Thanks for the anwers. Xberk, Nick's post had already been on the original Vegas forum, it's more of a generic guide. Bravof, I cannot quite imagine what you describe to be true. Maybe v14 has improved - but preview speed has been Vegas's achilles

RE: Panasonic 4k MP4 Files
I will soon be trying to use 4k mode on Panasonic VX981k. Any advice from your 4k editing on the VX870? You're using the proxy? It takes how long to build the proxy? Any multicam 4k?

HELP WITH A SCRIPT TO REMOVE OPACITY EVENTS..
Hi everyone, I'm trying to find or fudge together a script that for Vegas that will find and delete all events with an opacity level (usually 0%).. Some of our editors drop the opacity of events to "turn them off" but don't want to delete them until

RE: Most Optimized Hard Drive Setup for Vegas Pro?
What ever was suggested here may work fine for a single cam edit, multicam HD and higher and you will need faster drives and separated the source drive from the render drive. in my opinion, that is always good practice. I am always amazed by the

RE: Was "Disable Resample" Removed from Movie Studio Platinum 14.0?
@Brandigan, Now that's the kind of well-reasoned, post I am happy to respond to. As VMS 14 is essentially a reskinned SMS12 with a few features cut'n'pasted from SMS13 to handle 4K (or SMS13 with a darker SMS12 skin; you say poh-tay-toe etc.) I

RE: [Closed] Why Buy Vegas if Resolve is Free?
I started with Vegas Audio and that is pretty much how I use Vegas now. I am up to date with Vegas14. However my main video editor is EDIUS 8.5WG. I too have Resolve free version and for $299 I may well buy the full version. I have no expectation

Neat Video splitting screen under one circumstance.
Hi, I'm wondering if someone else could try this and looking for thoughts if this is a Vegas or Neat Video problem. If I have a 1080 50i timeline, and I place a 25p clip on it, then if I add to the 25p clip, the FX of Neat Video (4.2 and 4.5 tested)

RE: Advice on Sony PXW X70

This limitation has bothered me too for a long time. It's a limitation that makes the multicam editing mode unattractive, it puts severe restrictions to your workflow. To add effects on the media level is often impractical. Therefore I have managed

RE: Multicamera editing track effects
Hi Marcel, Save the track containing 10 video files in a veg file first (say, name it "Track A - 10 vids joined" or whatever it makes sense to you). You can import (=nest) this "Track A - 10 vids joined" veg file in another veg file and can

You match the camera footage by adding the FX as Media FX. This can be done before or even after the multicam track has been made.

Need old Nvidia driver
I have problems with the oldest Nvidia driver listed on their website. Vegas support recommends one older than Nvidia offers. So where can you get an old Nvidia driver that works? By the way, I don't care about render speed. I'm editing 6 HD1080
