RE: Motion Tracking broken in Vegas 22
Would anyone be kind enough to check if their motion tracking still works correctly? This is a major feature of Vegas for me, which unfortunately has essentially stopped working with V22. The lack of threads or posts about it makes me hope it just

RE: [Solved] Mocha Vegas Tracking Layer Terminated Prematurely
I found my solution to this problem from a forum member on the Boris Mocha Vegas forums. I followed ronald.guthrie's advice and deselected my GPU Processing and it now tracks fine. It tracks slower than my NVIDIA 4090, but it tracks properly. When I

Is there a way to find out if Track motion is set to 3D Source Alpha?
I am trying to add full 3D capability to my script but there are some items that make Vegas Crash if the Track Motion are is not set to 3D Source Alpha, For example: MessageBox.Show("Setting Second to Defs"); newKeyframeLater.PositionX =

RE: Vloggers/Youtubers, what camera + capture method do you use for Vegas?
I have an Osmo Pocket 1, 2, and 3 and a couple of GoPro cameras. I just copy the files off the cards and drop them on the timeline. They all work just fine. Motion JPEG is not a good option. I'd see if the camera can capture in a different format.

Motion Tracking
Does anyone know if Vegas Pro Edit has motion tracking or is it only available in the Pro Studio. The reason I am asking is I am about to switch over to a SmartScription and Edit is a lot cheaper that Studio.

RE: How to import 4K video?
@RogerS said: "I think it supports it natively these days but haven't checked as it's not a format I use." Vegas Pro 21-315 and 22-194 opens Canon 5D IV MJPEG video without any herky-jerky motion these days, at least, on my machine.

RE: What frame-size is handed to NEAT Video-- project or actual media res?
Topaz Video AI is ungodly slow. I never bought it, but I may try the newest trial. In my tests, I found it slightly better for upscaling high-motion scenes than Vegas, and I found Vegas slightly better with static detail.

[Solved] How To Make An Image Smaller?
Hi everyone, It's been a very long time since I've used Vegas so I'm more rusty at this than what I first thought. :D I want to put the instagram logo into the top right of the screen but as a small image. When dragging the box outwards to make the

RE: Green Screen Smoke FX Usage
Vegas Slow Motion fx should work quite well. It uses optical flow, and is very smooth.

RE: Vegas Pro Edit 365 AI Smart Mask 2.0 does not work
You're cropping it before the smart mask Fx. What if you move the smart mask Fx first in the Fx chain? Or add a different Fx after it like picture in picture and or crop? Or use track motion to recenter the video?

RE: VEGAS Pro 22 Build 122 General Discussion
I tried reproducing it and it rendered in a couple minutes. One unique thing about the video clips I was working on was it was created in 21 and then opened in 22. It was about 50 clips. All GoPro 4k 120fps. About have stretched to slow motion. Then

RE: Some final questions
Pan/Crop is always the first choice, and track motion always processes the results of Pan/Crop, so track motion is not the first choice. You can also put PIP before Pan/Crop in the plug-in chain, so PIP will replace Pan/Crop to get the highest

RE: How To Apply Motion Tracking to a Pan/Crop (Have The 'Camera' Follow)
@GrantTheHierophant You can apply motion tracking data to a Picture-in-Picture event, but not to the event pan/crop positions, unless someone has written a script for it. There is/was a script that applied motion data to a PIP effect. But that is no

Hi, I'm brand new to motion tracking. I followed the instructions in the youtube video, but unfortunately I failed on the very first step. When I click on Mode > Location, "nodes" should appear to identify the part of the shot I want to track.

I almost forgot, you also use a 3D space/parallax in this scene. It's cool! In addition, I saw the manual method you showed in the tutorial to smooth the keyframes. If the third-party tool is allowed to be mentioned, you can try this

RE: Bit Rate as a Function of Complexity: Constant Rate Factor Encoding
The average bitrate of even a complex motion-in-detail x264 can be tamed by adjusting the vbv-bufsize and vbv-maxrate ratio. Very useful for streaming on social media with their peak bitrate penalties.
