+/- 0.00 AudioVideo shift

Hello together,

I don‘t know how I managed in Vp15 B261 to get this +/- 0.00 shift between video and audio nor do I know, how to get rid of it again. I always have ‘Quantize to frame’ active and to be sure I have the related icon in the bottom toolbar.

Any idea ?

Peter

Which files are these? Any chance to upload a sample file?

Does "shift" means the length of the audio event matches the length of the video event but audio starts and ends bit earlier or is audio a bit longer?

I get that kind of issue regularly for many VP versions. I think it's possibly due to some very minor rounding error in the workflow with non-integer-fps footage.

I'm assuming your video and audio are now un-grouped. Right click on the audio > "Synchronize" > "By Moving". That should get rid of the red alerts. Then you can re-group the video and audio if you want.

These are XAVC-S UHDp30 files and this indication occurs on several places in the edited video. This does not show up when the file is just put onto the timeline and only if view is set to display 'Active take information'.

I did some 'J' and 'L' cuts with ignore event grouping and it my be that I moved some of the audio events accidentally. But I can't find a way to get it back to real zero, as on the other events. There is normally no shift-indication ( shift between video and audio).

Thanks Nick, that's it . 👋
