No problems with my machine with 356

Add envelopes and try minimizing and maximizing tracks. It's a problem for all systems though you may not see it depending on your workflow.

Yes, I finally reinstalled version 302. Vegas should be much faster at fixing its technical issues when they're this serious.

Initially I didnt have problems with 356 but when I got deeper into editing the cursor bug appeared. I'm suprised and disappointed it's taking so long to fix it.

I can imagine that Vegas team is working overtime to eliminate the issues in build 356, but I can also imagine that they want to be sure to deliver a build that has not to be withdrawn again. Meanwhile continue editing with build 302 and see build 356 as never been released.

I had the same problem with the timeline indicator that did not move while running te video. Tried everything that was recommended. No success. But then I hit touched The Vegas Hub Login and believe it or not, the problem was over.

This may be an important finding. I think you, or others (administrators of the forum?), should try to report your finding to VEGASDerek or other developers.

Any news about future update? Almost half year from release of vegas 23 and continue with huge bugs and not official date for next release. Or next patch for fix the driver problem in vegas 22? Icant find official comunaction from magix about their product. All information is very apreciated. I hope before release vegas pro 24 get a fix or a update. The explorer problem is the most big for me. Thanks a lot to the community.

These are true statements. I look forward to any news of a next update for 23 as 356 had many valuable fixes but a few major problems.

@RogerS my mind read a year and a half. A mind is a terrible thing to waste.

John-Ivar wrote on 1/23/2026, 4:25 AM

Not much to add other than I'm also having these issues.

crusherfire wrote on 1/30/2026, 6:07 PM

Just experienced this issue with a specific project file. Downgrading to build 302 fixed the problem.

Howard-Vigorita wrote on 1/31/2026, 10:40 AM

I only experienced the issue after I Maximized Track Height with the button in the track header to make envelope editing easier. Seemed to corrupt the project because it behaved than way when I moved it to another machine also running b356. Moving it to a machine running b302 and saving the project fixed it for all the machines. I'm still using b356 but avoiding Expand Track Height and have not experienced the issue again.
