Can I stop VP from loading, once it starts?

If I "accidentally" start to open VP, is there a way to stop it from completing, or must I wait the 20-30 seconds for VP to fully load before closing it?

In this case, I kill it through the Task Manager.

Of course, a bat script like this would also be useful:

taskkill /f /im vegas230.exe
