Does Vegas pro 22 come with Sound Forge pro 18?

I'm confused about which software to buy. I was looking into software that lets you edit audio files and it says you can do it with Vegas Pro so I downloaded a trial version. It does let me edit audio but when I look at the comparison of programs, it doesn't show Sound Forge pro 18 underneath Pro 22 but it is listed under the suite. I need software that will let me edit audio tracks so will I be able to do that in just Pro?

I have multiple versions of Sound Forge (since the mid1990s), but I do most of my audio work in Vegas when working on video projects.

@Sheryl-DeMott Sound Forge and Vegas Pro are separate and different applications that can interoperate. Vegas focuses on Video and Sound Forge on Audio. They can each do a little of the other but not everything. They also both offer bundles. The Vegas bundles include both packages but the Sound Forge bundles include only other audio software not available in a Vegas bundle. Vegas audio capabilities are impressive, including multitrack audio, but lack advanced audio restoration, 64bit float, and other capabilities that are built into Sound Forge. I don't think the opposite is true... I have both but wouldn't want to ever try editing a video with just Sound Forge.

I actually have some older versions of Sound Forge. My latest version was Sound Forge Studio 10. I'm setting up a new computer so I was looking to see if there were any new versions and found Vegas Pro when searching for audio editing software. I downloaded the trial version and was able to do some editing of audio but I wasn't sure if I was using Sound Forge and if so, what version. I ended up buying Vegas Pro 22 but now I'm thinking I should have gone with the suite so that I could have tried burning an audio cd with Sound Forge Studio. The cd I tried to burn through Vegas didn't go so well. It doesn't play on my computer so that was a waste.

As was previously stated, Sound Forge is a separate application, but can be integrated into Vegas via the "Options> Preferences> Audio> Preferred Audio Editor" menu. This gives the option to create multiple non-destructive 'takes' of an audio event ..or.. destructively edit the entire event's source file. Naturally, SF must be installed and activated. Many audio chores can be done directly in Vegas , but I still Sound Forge in 90% of the video projects I do .. Your workflow may vary.

btw, welcome to the Vegas users community @Sheryl-DeMott

Is there any midi sequencing in Sound Forge 18 Pro that comes with the upper Vegas purchase?

The Vegas 22 Pro 'Suite' includes Sound Forge Pro 18.
However the Vegas Suite package does not include the third-party software that is included in the 'Sound Forge Pro Suite', (SpectraLayers Pro, Melodyne, ect,) which are included when the SFP Suite is purchased singularly.
