Ok wait. The thing is, the main audio and the audio from this video are syn. The video starts syn and ends syn but all in between is off.

kirsten-v wrote on 6/22/2020, 12:27 PM

I'm not sure I'm doing this right. There is not much info.

j-v wrote on 6/22/2020, 12:52 PM

Ik heb wel een vermoeden wat er aan de hand is, maar blijkbaar kom je toch zaken op dit forum tegen wat je niet helemaal snapt.
In English:
You have to use the settings in MediaInfo as here showed

but than we need the Info of the file from Maaike Berends, because it looked as the main audio and if the rest is in sync this one has to be altered maybe if possible, but first we must see that file properties.

Klopt #j-v

you're right. I'm quite new at this.

Now I think I got all set. Just the video above I have to syn. So hope you can explane that to me.

I want to make a test render. What is the best way to render this? I forgot what I used in my last video. 😅

j-v wrote on 6/22/2020, 4:09 PM

This is called VFR (variabele beeldsnelheid snelheid).
Very often Vegas software is not able to use that kind of files, but in this case probably the frames are not that different so Vegas tried to encode them in this case to your goal of 25fps, but there are not always enough frames so the video is shorter than the audio and at the end mostly out of sync.
I gave you already the solution here: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/making-a-video-from-a-choir--120370/?page=2#ca758704

Depends on all kind of things but mostly on the desired goal and where to play it. Important for the dimensions is the most used dimension of the sourcefiles, kind of codec depends where to play the rendered file. Smarthone needs less than a modern 4K TV.

I'm going to put it on youtube. I guess is going to be played mostly on mobil.

I looked at your sollutions, but you are changing the audio, but the audio is not the problem. Its the video. The audio is how it should be. And the audio is going to be removed from the end product. I'm only using it to syn. I did cut the video to move parts, but it is to different to match a few seconds. Or am I not getting your anwser right?

set wrote on 6/23/2020, 1:44 AM

Looking forward to see yours...

about audio-video not sync, it's also possible due to certain cellphone recordings, read incorrectly when put automatically to Vegas Pro, which means it needs to be sync-ed on their ends instead leaving it on their start points.

Just giving quick update after @kirsten-v shared the problem video via personal message:

Video frame rate was mistakenly read by Vegas Pro 15 version and make to appear unsync in the middle. - but this issue has been corrected in Vegas Pro 16.

Now finding way how to deal with this in VP15...

Ok, found...: Temporarily disable so4compoundplug. This module from VP15 cause incorrect reading (frame rate 26.735 fps). (VP16 has able to read correct 25p)

Since you are following my advice to convert all individual MP4 files to Magix Intermediate, you may want to rerender this single file by condition of so4compoundplug disabled (which makes VP15 using older compoundplug module to read this video).

Don't forget to Disable Resample as well to avoid any possible blurs due to weird frame rate.

After done rendering, you can enable so4compoundplug back.

Doing Partial Renders may able to help if problem persists.

I do this too for 'safety' purposes in case rendering fail.

I rendered the video with Magix intermediate. So I got video and audio, but I thought that I made the transition to fast. You good not see in de video. Looking at the file to change that I saw al the transitions were gone. Even in the backup 😥
