NVidia RTX 2080 vs. 3080, what can I expect to improve?

Out of curiosity, I was wondering ... if I had two identical PCs, one with the Nvidia RTX 2080 and one with the RTX 3080 to be released later this month, what improvement, if any, can I expect to see in Vegas Pro 18. Forget about money, this is about performance. Would I expect to see faster renders, faster previews? I am not expecting to buy either at this time, this is a nerd question.

Below is the NVideo hype, it sounds good, but what does it really mean in the real world of Vegas Pro 18?

You have to have a PCIE4 motherboard and compatible CPU to use PCIE4.0 features.

I don't have a pcie4 motherboard and am only addressing bare compatibility of newer boards with older pcie3 bus motherboards. For the most part, they're backward compatible meaning they'll work. But my 980x system has an Asus Rampage3 pcie3 motherboard with the latest bios and refused to boot into Win10 with a pcie4 5700xt. A Vega64 worked fine in that system but I had to upgrade the power supply. The 5700xt works fine in my other pcie3 systems so I was able to find an alternate home for it. Just something to consider for anyone hoping to turbocharge an older system with one of these newer video boards.
