Hey everybody.
I have been cutting Multi-Track Music Videos for some years now in Vega Pro. I really like its workflow and I don't plan on swapping. But the Process of setting up those "video wall"-style videos has always been a bit of a pain for me. I used to just delete videos out of old projects and use the track layout of those, or create templates, but with changing versions of VEGAS that has led to a lot of crashes. Starting fresh always seems like the best bet to get working and having it run well. So I wanted a script to create the template for me.
I have seen VegaSaur and DaviTools, but the former is in a larger tool and seems to work only by using videos and the latter seemed out of date. So, during Lockdown I decided to finally make myself a script.
I usually create my videos by creating a video wall template (lots of Tracks with a color clip at the beginning. TrackMotion position and size plus the crop on the color clip add together to the size of the resulting video) and then copy the synchronized videos onto the tracks where I want them to be. The script makes setting up that template a breeze and includes "feature"-tracks that line up with the video wall but are double or triple in size.
Here is a demo video:
This is me just reaching out to see how many people, if any, are interested in such a script, whether it be talking about it, suggesting new features or just wanting one.
