@Debbie-Whitmer, Just double click on the b403 installer. the installer will automatically remove the b402 before install b403. It will do everything for you.

The Window 11 update caused some problems besides the Vegas one. I had trouble with Windows Security being trashed, and I had trouble with audio being trashed. Hopefully Vegas didn't cause those problems, did it? I did a Restore to just before the Tuesday update, and now things are working again. I put a pause on Updates.

@EricLNZ @Patrick-Tinsley anyone downloaded build 403? i changed the date for build 402 and its working again.. is the problem fixed in 403? the links provided for it are extremly slow download and it failed couple of times.. i have 500mbs internet speed and it took over 6 hours for downloading 600mb then at 80% it failed!
I have Vegas 20, and I'm having the same issue. I have tried to download those links on top, but they all end in failure. Help please!!!!!!

I reinstalled and went back to the previous version, but it didn't improve.
The only way is to disconnect the net connection at boot.

The downloads you shared in your comment are very slow to download, so some people who have downloaded it are now sharing it for people to get a faster download, I've used those myself, downloaded & installed in 10mins 👍

I tried to download the link that @set gave me at least 15 times and the download kept failing and would not download (I see others are having the same problem).. However, when I attempted to download @Wolfgang S. Vegas Pro 20 build 403, who was gracious to put it on his personal Mediafire account, that link worked and downloaded very quickly, I installed it, and now Vegas Pro 20 build 403 works while on-line!! Yay! Clap!👍👍
An additional notation regarding Vegas Pro 20 build 402 - BEFORE I got @Wolfgang S. link (thank you!), I had a project that I was about to work on that needed to get out right away and published on-line for a radio station but Vegas Pro 20 build 402 would not launch. I saw that someone said to disconnect from the internet and then launch Vegas Pro 20 build 402 so I physically disconnected my PC from the internet and THEN I was able to launch Vegas Pro 20 v 402 in order to get the video work done. (Whew!) Of course, that is not a permanent solution but only a temporary fix but it may work for someone until they get the new build version 403. Thank you so much to all who helped! I REALLY appreciate it!

You are right about the temporary solution on b402 to disconnect from internet. Sorry for what is happening, and I'm sure no one likes it, even the developers themselves, but at least the problem found and solved ASAP.
The official link I shared seems still extremely high-load, server internet traffic jam, so therefore other users are uploading the setup file temporarily on their own cloud drives.

Link for Deep Learning module?
When I did my uninstalls in the many times I tried reloading before @set was kind enough to provide a link to the emergency download, my Deep Learning modules were removed.
After my 7-hour ordeal of trying about 12 times to get the Excruciatingly Slow Download From Hell to finally not crash, I got my Vegas 20 working again.

But in the emergency download there never was the "option selection page" where you tell the downloader which features you want to download and which you do not. (Vegas 20, Vegas Deep Learning, Sound Forge, Vegas Effects, Vegas Image, etc...)
So now when I check, I no longer show the "Deep Learning" as being installed as it was before the debacle happened.
Can we get a download link to just that, or to the menu of selections in order to restore just that feature?
I'm not even sure what that Deep Learning module does, but I was led to believe by the advertisements that it was a good thing that helped to justify the enormous price I paid for the "full boat" Vegas 20 PRO/POST.
I am glad that the main program runs now, but wish to restore all of the whistles and bells that are supposed to make the upgraded package worth the extra hundreds of dollars that were required for the POST package.

Had the same issue this morning on version 20 build 370.
Disabled WIFI connection and it worked. Now upgrading

The deep learning was not changed to build 402. It is a kind of AI, responsible for effects.
So if you had installed b402 with the version of deep learning that you had will continue to work. The only update step required to be performed is to install build 403.

The data change works, but is not recommended really - since it may cause troubles with third-party plugins.

In posts here they did recommend the date change or disabling internet workarounds if you need to use VEGAS before the patch is downloaded, though both have potential negative side effects.
changed date etc, got to vegas, asked to up date and did so, program worked... changed computer date back to automatic... attempted to launch vegas 20 again and failed... this is a serious problem... and so the only way i can now use vegas is to change computer date to before 3rd may.... is a proper fix in the pipeline??? very frustrating...

yes but down load times r extreme and servers v slow, have tried all links u post but some fail others 3 to 4 hours
