URGENT - VEGAS PRO OPENING PROBLEM

Adding that for me too, turning off Ethernet allows VEGAS to launch. But, once I reconnect the internet and, say, launch a 2nd instance of VEGAS, which I often due in order to copy things from project to project, the 2nd instance won't properly launch. So I guess it's looking for authentication each instance too. This started today before I updated to Build 402, and still happens now with 402.

Windows10 with Vegas 11 Pro (most recent build). Intel Core i7-3770 @ 3.40GHz 3.90 GHz, 32GB ram, separate audio and video disks. Also Vegas 17 Pro on same system. GPU: NVDIA GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER. Dynamic RAM preview=OFF.

I can't download Vegas 19 now. I was having the problem with Vegas not booting up so I uninstalled it, now I can't download it. What's up with that?

This is what my last 2 days have been like , ZERO PROGRESS

Several users are reporting problems opening Vegas Pro. Not just version 20.

Possibly a recent Windows Update is causing the problem. Until it's resolved the following work around has been posted by several users.

Disconnect from internet > Open project > Reconnect to internet.

Edit: VEGAS Pro 20 build 403 solves this issue. See Here.

Just lost 90 minutes trying to figure out what is happening, truly frustrating.

Cleared cache

rebooted PC

Unistalled Vegas

Downloaded Sony pro 19 (licence) - hat to tell several times I was human (thanks by the way)

Crashes when installing!

I bought the licence for Sony Vegas pro 19, I look forward to a quick response to this dreadful problem.

This does NOT work for me!

Evanilson-DjCandir wrote on 5/4/2023, 5:17 PM

Fico feliz por esta solução alternativa. ISSO FUNCIONOU PARA MIM! UAU!

Eu precisava disso. Tão grato.

Actually, I've also been having several problems opening Vegas Pro 20. I paid a very high amount for the software and I can't use it as I should.

I tried and failed to open Vegas 20 and Vegas 19. It was working this morning... needs to get fixed right now. I actually had to use Premiere Pro for editing... OMG!

Set the system clock back a week so you can use Vegas until you can download the patch.

The update is already out. You might have to use a download manager to get it though. Or wait a couple four days.

SamuelPedro-Samuel wrote on 5/4/2023, 8:47 PM

The problem with the emergency update they released is that it downloads very slowly... I'm from Brazil, I don't know if it has something to do with it, probably not. I'm downloading here

hambonio wrote on 5/4/2023, 9:10 PM

Thankfully, we've got a backup (Vegas pro 8 - which I personally LOVE. For some reason, we can't seem to get Vegas 8 to load on our main system which uses windows 11, and it would only load sporadically with our windows 10 os...apparently, the .net frame required is no longer supported on windows 10 and 11???

When I tried downloading VP11 the other day it kept telling me the download was corrupted but it was only doing that while installing .net 3.5 SP1. So I went to Microsoft directly to install that .net version and then I was able to download and install VP11 just fine. Its pretty ugly though - there is no scaling so if you are on a higher res monitor (I am on 4k) it is a PITA to try and read everything. Anyhow, just as proof of concept you might want to try downloading directly from Microsoft then try VP8? I am running Windows 11 and it works just fine. I have a VP8 disc somewhere, but no idea where it is anymore and I don't believe the service center goes back that far. If it does ( I cannot log in right now) I don't want to add congestion anyway to the servers just to find out.

With that, I can confirm that both VP11 and VP13 work just fine without the issues of VP19 and 20. I was not expecting otherwise.

Hello,

I have downloaded the new patch for VEGAS Pro 20 (Build 403), installed it, and I still cannot open Vegas.

See screenshot. It stays at this screen.

I'm using Windows 10.

Installed software:

What is the solution?

Thanks.

Used the Vegas 19 download and my copy of it works now thanks now just need to get 20 up and running now.

AldoSP wrote on 5/4/2023, 11:59 PM

Hello, I thought there was a problem with it, so I uninstalled the program from the computer. Now my original downland link doesn't work either and the new links stop downloading the patch after a few minutes. What about that? Aldo

I have Vegas Pro 20 build 402 (which does not launch)

PLEASE HELP! - I’m having the same problem with Vegas 20 not launching.  I see the “Vegas Pro 20 Build 403 Emergency Update Available”, however, I don’t know what these following letters mean before the download link::

DE/EN/FR/ES/BR -> https://rdir.magix.net/?page=LXXNHP3P4WG3

TWO QUESTIONS:

1. What does the DE/EN/FR/ES/BR and CN and JP and KR mean?  Does EN mean “English”?  And if so, is the EN link the one I’m supposed to download since my language is English?  I want to make sure I’m downloading the correct one.

2. Do I need to uninstall Vegas Pro 20 FIRST before installing Vegas Pro 20 Build 403 -OR- Do I just install Build 403 and it will do everything for me?

Please answer quickly. – Debbie

@Debbie-Whitmer Hi, have a look at @set's post above, he shared this link https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/emergency-downloads--140837/ . The downloads you shared in your comment are very slow to download, so some people who have downloaded it are now sharing it for people to get a faster download, I've used those myself, downloaded & installed in 10mins 👍
