Thanks for your response. Not sure what that is. A bit more info, just received this new HP Spectra Series laptop, i7, 2T SSD, Windows 11 Pro. What I am noticing since my post is no matter what veg I click, Vegas 18 (latest version) opens up the files, goes to about 88-90%, or some veg files will open all the way to 100%, then Vegas stops responding. I have tried several veg's and same thing.

Can you be a bit more specific by telling us - which CPU exactly - GPU evt. which used driverversion - When its possible to open Options/Preferences a screenshot of Video and File I/0
Maybe I should ask a basic question and that is, does Vegas 18 even work with Windows 11 Pro?
@Ronald-Maxwell Win11 may not be officially supported yet but it works fine on a couple of my machines which I upgraded from Win10. Suggest you update everything on your laptop from the HP support site first. If that doesn't fix it even after uninstalling and reinstalling, try the Intel Driver Support Assistant... I think your graphics might be strictly Iris/XeMAX if it's an 11-657g laptop so pay particular attention to those drivers.

Your processor has also an integrated video chip. For that one you need a new driverversion to let do Vegas Pro 18 and 19 its work, The newest for your videoprocessor is nr. 30.0.101.1069 like mine
That is encouraging. You'll have to forgive me, but what do I need to do to get and install this version. I clicked around the menu in V19, but it looks a bit different than your pic. thanks
Ok, so good news! Since the laptop is brand new, HP Support followed the update instructions and now it all works! Thank you for taking the time to respond!
