It was after I downloaded the latest version this happened.. Today I uninstalled vegas and reinstalled the latest version to fix it and it's still missing.....yes it is 527

Then do a full reset - a new installation will keep your personal settings.

1. I wonder if the window could be hiding somewhere? But presumably you've checked that.
2. When you did the "factory reset" did you get the the box to tick giving the option to clear the cache (it's actually called something else but I forget what).

Could it be on a second screen?

Everything else is working normally. It's strange how it reverts to the timeline/editing window while it renders now. It never did that before..

I'm having the same problem with 18. This has never happened before. At first I thought I unchecked a box somewhere by accident. But I couldn't find anything. I also tried many of the same attempted fixes. The video still renders, but its annoying and I'd like my rendering window back.

I think that happened to me once when I inadvertently dragged the window off-screen. I think I unchecked the High DPI checkbox in Display Prefs temporarily to get it back after restart/reset clearing the cache and letting Vegas recreate it's default windows. Note also that Alternate DPI should not be checked unless you have dual monitors. If nothing else works, installing the free SeMW Extensions for Vegas will at least give you it's render progress window.

The Alienware laptop died a month or so later . The computer succumbed to a motherboard failure. Perhaps that contributed to the issue.

I had the same problem with Vegas pro 19. Vegas pro has too many bugs.

I solved the problem like this.
I uninstalled the program with Revo Uninstaller, deleted the registry and all files.
