Set, you are clearly on a campaign here to make it look like it is my hardware that is at fault. You are attempting to perpetuate this idea that there is no possible fault with Vegas or its vendors. I'll post my specs, they are decent enough and run plenty of graphics and audio visual applications with no problem. I'd like an up to the minute megabox but what I have is above recommendations ( unless there's is tricky fine print somewhere). I'm not using any laptop or bargain basement shoebox.

Chuzz wrote on 9/16/2017, 6:38 PM

Hi Cornico, well I do disagree. If other potential users can check a forum ( as I often do ) before purchasing then they can be forewarned by current users experiencing problems with the software. Had I seen a few posts like this ( obviously , you do get cranks, so cross referencing and double checking is sensible), maybe I could have saved time money and frustration. After all you can't just rely on fanboy and sponsored reviews, for accurate , unbiased insight. I actually checked to see how many others have similar issues, before posting, just to make sure 'I' wasn't a crank or missing some new trick with the preferences.

I should say that I have been trying to get these gremlins back in their can and discovered that things do improve a great deal ( crash wise, but I take a big playback hit) when I disable the GPU (Nvidia). Now this is new since V14 , I suggest there IS a problem and although my crash reports have not instigated any V14 patch. V14 is JUNK and Magix have treated me and others like trash by not patching a well reported problem. That should be helpful information for some.

Some like Set and probably yourself, have been luckier, that's great , but doesn't make the other's opinions any less valuable.

My specs are under my profile.

NickHope wrote on 9/17/2017, 6:11 AM

@Chuzz You are being unfair to set, who was replying to rasmus-dahl-sorensen, not you. Set is a volunteer moderator trying to help users and assist Magix in improving Vegas. It is a fact that hardware and its configuration plays a huge part in Vegas' stability.

Note that crash reports do not reach anyone unless you submit them like this.

Now what specifically are your current issues with VP14?

Chuzz wrote on 9/17/2017, 6:29 PM

Thanks to everyone defending Magix , I really appreciate it.

Thanks to Magix for great software and error reporting facilities that I went to great effort to fill out.

If it doesn't work correctly , then well, what's more to be said?

It's my fault and I'm being unreasonable... OK?

set wrote on 9/17/2017, 7:17 PM

Chuzz,

First: STOP thinking like that.

Now, if my statement or reply disappoint you, please apologize about it. I'm not in a position to defend Magix Vegas Creative Team. Do you think I'm happy to find my system work stable and others not stable? NO, NOT AT ALL. I wish this forum's content later can be less-technical report issues and having more with creative discussion decision, but we are not there yet.

I also have hardware issues along with Vegas Pro (and this issue is also difficult to be repro-ed by the team). I also have protest & critics & suggestions for Vegas Pro or Vegas Creative Team. I also tried to read all messages here as voluntary mod, and I also wished to have a more stable Vegas Pro 15 with many various hardware configurations, but we are not there yet. Vegas Creative Team still have a lot of homework to do with it.

I understand to you all, troubled users, who have carefully selected and invested each module, and wishing it work perfectly with Vegas Pro, but then found it didn't.. So, I'm just doing my best what I can do over here as voluntary mod, try to find the troubled users' system configurations for Vegas Creative Team to data, and hopefully these data valuable towards to more stable Vegas Pro.

Hope this explain... again, I'm not defending Magix, and, again, if my statement disappoint you, apologize about it... and I learn here and keep learning to be more better mod.

That's it from me...

Setiawan

No worries, this really isn't 'about' us as users or moderators. I don't wish to get personal, or more importantly tell ANYBODY what or how to think.

Everyone has their own experience, opinions and intelligence, so I wouldn't dream of interfering with that.

I will admit to mistakes and will stand corrected if need be, but no one has any right to tell me what to think.

I reserve the right to free will so , disagree with my opinions, but there are facts that I and others have observed.

I think Nick is pointing out that the Vegas automated crash report system does not in fact send any report as it purports to do. So perhaps users were mislead about that, maybe dev's should have fixed that as a priority?

So maybe most vegas 14 errors were not received or were being ignored, either way, the bugs were not addressed.

So, Vegas 14 has serious problems that weren't addressed before launching 15.

Now users are expected to fork out again, but I HAVE to be suspicious, otherwise I am receiving incorrect information on top of a very bad user experience.

I'm not angry or hateful towards anyone here, so peace out Set, just let me say my bit eh?

I appreciate your generous input.

Hi Chuzz,

Thank you for sharing your opinion. I respect your decisions. 🙂

As for reports, the one I can think about for more detailed is doing this one:

https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/how-to-send-error-reports-using-the-problem-reporting-service-prs--103727/

And send it here : https://support2.magix.com/customer/en/vegas/form

But I as mod here, will try think and suggest for a better communication between users and management / developers here.

Terima Kasih,

Setiawan

Mathias

Thanks

Just updated to build 270 and it broke my P2 AVC-Intra 100 files. Only showing green frames (on timeline) and scrambled video like an old problem in a previous Vegas.

Hi,

I´m looking for that type of keyboards(for edit), where i find and what i call him??

That is a Bella Pro Series 3.0 Keyboard... unfortunately, it seems the company is out of business.

It was in my wishlist some years ago, but hardly find that on my local store...

Some users here have using Shuttle Pro or Shuttle Express

I don't have it..., but from what I read, these devices really helps a lot.

So you’re going to tell me that lol this time the send error report within the program doesn’t work???! What type of nonsense is this? This should be a fix because now all the countless errors and crashes I have using AMD Vega Frontier Edition went on deaf ears and blind eyes. Smfh

Does anyone know if Magix will correct the problem of the CEA 708 option in the closed caption, in the new version VEGAS PRO 16?

I've been a Vegas user for 10+ years. I've had so many issues in these past years. My 14 Platinum has worked fairly well until just recently. It is crashing every minute. I cannot even complete a very small project. I'm honestly so disappointed- but my extensive training does not allow me to jump ship and go to something new! I'm sure there are better programs but I feel stuck! Why is it so hard to get technical help?

If you're waiting for MAGIX support don't hold your breath. And if you're really lucky somebody here on the forums will be able to help you out (but you'll need to post way more detail about the issues you're having).

Every day I get a message telling me that MAGIX is releasing bug fixes for Vegas Pro 14 and 15. Yeh. It's called Vegas Pro 16!!! LOL!!!

Two questions...

Is the 270 update the latest update for Vegas Pro 14 Edit? (I haven't been able to locate a simple timestamped list of all the updates released so far.)

Is the 270 update the last/final update for Vegas Pro 14 Edit?

Thanks in advance for any help!

@hans-w Yes. Latest and, almost certainly, last. Here's a changelog and here's where you can find downloads.
