vegas pro 17 crashes when hitting the button 'render as'

When I hit the button 'render as', vegas pro 17 does not respond and closes without saving or showing any dialog window. The only working solution until now, is to open the program and put in a small video file. Then 'render as' and the selection menu appears, rendering starts. I push 'cancel rendering' and then I open my large project in this vegas pro window. Everything works fine but when I change to much within this project, the 'render as' crash happens again. The update from Magix didn't solve this problem. It's really annoying of course and this problem started some months ago. Anyone to help ?

No, because such a fault can have too many causes and you don't tell one thing we can use to get an idea.

OK, nothing wrong with the hardware and the used drivers I think, but we stll know nothing about projectformat, MediaInfo of sourcefiles, render-to location and its free part, rendertemplate and total lenght of your problem project.

oh, every project format I used, 4k progressive scan, hd 25 p or 50 i , mxf, or mov, or mp4 containers, avi, avc, prores 422 hq, interlaced or progressive, you name it. Even now on an old project with .m2t 720 25p files. Properties can be set in 8bit or 32bit floating point. In short all parameters have been different in several projects. The length of the project is going from 30 seconds to 1 hour and a half.
The render templates I use are also very different depending on the result I need ( pc, smart TV, youtube, televisiion broadcasting) , but I even don't see any template window to choose my template I want to use.

The strange thing is that if I open vegas pro ( without any project opened), and I drag and drop a simple video file, doesn't matter what format. I can open the render template window without crash. I start rendering a few seconds. After that, I open in this vegas pro window my veg file of my project and then I can open the render template window without crashing.

Project properties : I really used all kind of project properties and combinations of all parameters. It doesn't make any difference.

You ask me for the render template, but actually I don't get any window with the templates. It's when trying to open this that Vegas not responds and finally closes.

Also a screenshot of the overall view of your screen with the timeline and the other windows would not be bad.
