@Jeffrey-Stachowiak without the actual project where the AI is used, it's hard to know where the issues might be. I've used AI Dehaze on images with quick results.

@iEmby the Hub is working right now for me in VP22. Yay!

GoPro 4k 120fps video 8 seconds. Is that what you need?

@Jeffrey-Stachowiak a file uploaded to the cloud would be nice! 😊

I am finding Vegas 22 significantly slower with Canon 4K XF-AVC files than Vegas 21 was. The timeline chokes on playback so much that the audio is distorted. This never happened in Vegas 21. :(

JaredF wrote on 10/16/2024, 10:54 AM

Also, Vegas 22 messes up the aspect ratio of 4096x2160 files.

Jeffrey-Stachowiak wrote on 10/16/2024, 12:56 PM

I tried reproducing it and it rendered in a couple minutes. One unique thing about the video clips I was working on was it was created in 21 and then opened in 22. It was about 50 clips. All GoPro 4k 120fps. About have stretched to slow motion. Then I applied dehazing to one clip and rendered just that clip within the project.

UltraVista wrote on 10/16/2024, 9:05 PM

@Jeffrey-Stachowiak post a clip to a file sharing website such as dropbox, google drive, or https://wetransfer.com/ if you want others to check if they have the same problem.

To add to what @UltraVista, @Jeffrey-Stachowiak supply the settings you used in AI Dehaze.

I posted a clip here already. Page 5 I believe. I’ve been working on one video compilation about 12:30 long. About 50 GoPro 4k 120fps clips many stretched to slow motion. Renderings are all over the place. I have only Vegas open. Rendering 4k 24fps takes anywhere from 1 hr 22 min to over 4 hours. No rhyme or reason to why. I close Vegas and reopen before rendering each time. Never had this issue with 21.

@Jeffrey-Stachowiak I am not seeing a link to any clip you've posted. Now I do wear glasses, so that might attribute to me not seeing any link. Maybe you posted a link in a different thread? And if this THREAD, a video of what is happening is not what is needed. The actual video itself from the camera. I asked for that in that thread too.

You've rendered the same project (copy/paste) in VP21 and VP22?

Since 16th October 2024 Vegas Pro crashing seconds after program loading - multiple reinstallations has not solved the issue, so no working video editing platform at the moment...this needs to be resolved soon or I'll have to cancel my 365 subscription.. ticket raised, still no response.

Does anyone have any ideas why Vegas Pro 22 is all of a sudden crashing at launch ? ...thanks

EricLNZ wrote on 10/18/2024, 5:03 PM

My understanding is that Kernelbase problems are a Windows issue. Search the forum and you will find a few threads on this. This one may help https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/more-crashing-from-vegas-pro--145661/

If you need further help please provide details of your system and check that all your GPU drivers are up to date.

Crazy render times. Rendering the same video 12min 30 sec 1080p 25fps nvidia Hevc 1 hour 18 min originally, added a LUT filter render went over 10 hours. Deleted Lut. Render went to 3 plus hours. Restarted computer. Render now at 1 hour 8 min.

There's a nasty memory leak bug with the 'LUT Filter' FX in VP22 if you have GPU acceleration enabled and an nVidia GPU, as reported by 'Abubakar' earlier on this thread and confirmed by me. As a render progresses the GPU memory usage steadily climbs until it consumes all of the memory it's allowed to have, slowing down everything. Also the GPU memory isn't released until you quit VP22 (just closing the project doesn't release it).

See: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/vegas-pro-22-build-122-general-discussion--147185/?page=4#ca926276 , https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/vegas-pro-22-build-122-general-discussion--147185/#ca925187 and https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/vegas-pro-22-build-122-general-discussion--147185/#ca925259

If you disable GPU acceleration (or use a 3rd party LUT plugin like '3D LUT Creator' - https://3dlutcreator.com/3d-lut-creator---free-plugins.html - instead of LUT Filter) it doesn't happen.

Thanks to the forum I have resolved this issue, thank you for helpful comments. ISSUE: Instant crashing of Vegas Pro 22 (Build 122) resolved by updating my AMD software and drivers (AMD Radeon RX6600 + VRAM 8176) - CPU AMD Ryzen 7 1700 Eight Core / 32GB Ram. Thanks.

Hellow dear friend, why can't your team add South Asian Fonts so that we can directly type South Asian (Indian) Fonts in the Vegas itself, without depending on Kdenlive, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Photoshop, Canva etc.,which are excellent in accepting all the fonts of the world. Unless your team includes Asian Fonts including South Asian Fonts (Fonts of Indian languages), Vegas 01 or Vegas 22 are the same for me. That's why in Asian countries Adboe is ruling and Vegas is not used at all (almost less than 0.5% of all the creaters like me, depending on other softwares to write our fonts, taking a transperent .png format (without any background and importing into Vegas), that is why Vegas totally lost the market of Asia and South Asia and Sout East Asia.

RogerS wrote on 10/20/2024, 5:55 PM

@seetharamaiah-velicheti Do they work in legacy text mode (enable it in deprecated features)?

A new text titling feature has been promised for the future but the developers are busy with other issues at the moment.

@Jeffrey-Stachowiak

To clarify: this does not mean uploading a clip here in the forum or on YouTube, as this usually causes compression, among other things, which is why this modified material can then be tested, but your problem cannot be recreated and checked.
To really do a test, you need the original source file (usually the .mp4 file of your camera), which should be uploaded here as a link for download via any fileshare provider.

Build 122 fixed the problem of the Explorer window crashing the program.
Build 122 introduced a new problem: mp3 cannot render.

VP22 build 122 is not storing clip meta data for me. I add regions and markers on a clip in the trimmer, open a different clip in the trimmer, then reopen the previous clip in the trimmer and my markers/regions are all gone. I just posted about it here.

I found a (maybe old) bug in the Import funcion: it crashes if the XML does not contain video but audio only.
