VP20 Crashing when "Identify Display"

rtbond wrote on 6/30/2023, 7:37 AM

Vegas Pro (v20 Build 411) is consistently crashing when selecting "Identify Display" within the Options/Preferences/Preview Device tab. This was happening with the last build as well. Nvidia Studio display driver v536.40.

See my signature line for further system details.

Anyone else seeing this behavior?

hmm.. I'm using the Driver before that 536.40 and Identify Display isn't crashing the system. I'm using Studio Driver 535.98 .

Yess, but only when I press again before the number has disappeared.
This is when I wait again and again

And this is if I don't wait

I can reproduce the phenomenon.

@john_dennis - What can I say?

john_dennis wrote on 6/30/2023, 11:54 AM

@Grazie

"Note to programmer: Don't check the 'Identify Displays' lozenge until the display overlay timer times out."

"Gee Whiz!"

"Wow, Man."

"You want fries with that?"

Yes same issue with me if you don't wait for display overlay to go.

Not able to duplicate the crash running vp20 b411 on any of my systems. But I do not use multiple displays. And therefor do not select Alternate HighDPI in Display prefs which I understand is required with multiple 4k monitors.
