What are the top new features you'd like to see in Vegas?

I'd like the bugs to be fixed, especially the one where the program locks up if the master volume slider is moved while its window is docked. But before anything I want the activation issue resolved so that Vegas works without constant need to connect to the internet. For myself, basically all else is moot.

Ditto on the internet issue.

8K

8 1/2 k :)

Not really. Would like support for GH5 "6K" and anamorphic modes. Not just to read these files, but also to render them without reducing the size to 4K/UHD.

For me 4K is enough. But I would like to see full HDR support in Vegas.

Laptop: ProArt Studiobook 16 OLED * internal HDR preview * i9 12900H with i-GPU Iris XE * 32 GB Ram) * Geforce RTX 3070 TI 8GB * internal HDR preview on the laptop monitor * Blackmagic Ultrastudio 4K mini

Some really high quality output options that are GPU enabled.

You all know that we got "stroked" so much in the old days with Vegas firsts that now we want everything that ever was plus everything that never was.

A Pluraleyes type sound sync. I often use a TAscam D60 in the filed and would probably use this feature almost every video. Have an older pluraleyes that I use to sync but it is not seamless.

Such a feature is already available in MVS14 and it's disabled in VP15. You can enable it in the internal preferences but it is rather slow. This is all from my testing with Build 177 which has now expired and I cant do further testing with VP15. Too bad, but from what I can see and read here, I better wait for VP16 anyways.

1. Fix old and new bugs

2. Internal Optical Flow resample metod for slow motion

3. Internal Track Motion as Mocha

4. internal 3D ProType Titler with color dropper

6. Select samples with pushing right mouse button

7. Disable Pop-up FX and Transitions windows with ESC key

8. Time Stretch with CTRL key 0 - 1000%. (actual is 20 - 400%)

9. internal import subtitles the same method as Vegasaur Text Generation Wizard

10. internal One click Delete Gaps as Vegasaur (Selected Tracks and Selected Events)

11. Modern design and functions in internal Vegas audio plugins as Waves L316 and Replika XT

12. Modern design as Vegas GUI Concept or Catalyst

And I'll be happy!

You first have to enable it in the internal settings. Not sure why it is disabled by default. Maybe not ready yet, maybe a legal Issue but a good look into what’s coming.

Unfortunately my VP15 Build 177 trial expired and I cant remember but in MVS14 it's called "Enable Synchronization Detection".

Found what you might have saw "enable multi-cam sync" which is not what Plural eyes does. Plural eyes takes sound sources and sync's them to the master sound track. Don't think this is the same as "enable multi-cam sync".

In MVS14 it's called "Synchronize Audio to Align Events" and if I remember it correctly, it did the same in VP15. You select the audio of two ore more events and it uses the audio to align them; that should be the same Plural Eyes does. I also remember the order you select the events made a difference, it seems to align the events two and higher to the first selected event. It worked rather slow on large, half an hour events but so did Plural Eyes when I tested it 3 years ago.

Create Custom Folders in VFX and Transitions, and drag and drop copies or renamed presets into this.

Copy and Paste Selected Attributes to destination(s).

my current Win10/64 system (latest drivers, water cooled) :

Intel Coffee Lake i5 Hexacore (unlocked, but not overclocked) 4.0 GHz on Z370 chipset board,

32GB (4x8GB Corsair Dual Channel DDR4-2133) XMP-3000 RAM,

Intel 600series 512GB M.2 SSD system drive running Win10/64 home automatic driver updates,

Crucial BX500 1TB EDIT 3D NAND SATA 2.5-inch SSD

2x 4TB 7200RPM NAS HGST data drive,

Intel HD630 iGPU - currently disabled in Bios,

nVidia GTX1060 6GB, always on latest [creator] drivers. nVidia HW acceleration enabled.

1) I’d like a snappier Search facility for my masses of FXs and Grazie Presets. Actually, a complete overhaul of the mess that is the Trees & Folders & OFX & VEGAS and complicated FX asset management structure 😫

2) Safe Areas & Grids and my own homegrown Grids on External Monitor. DVDA has this.

3) Mouse-wheel Control on ALL all timelines, wherever they exist.

4) A faster “de-hogging” of my memory by VP and, incidentally, NewBlueTitlerPro, when I exit.

5) A slicker and seamless reporting feature. C’mon guys, it shouldn't be this complex?

Well, that should only take you to lunchtime.

By nature of it's "PRO" name, ought to have what the pro competition has.

D7K wrote on 10/14/2017, 10:14 AM

Round tripping with Samplitude would be nice

Kinvermark wrote on 10/14/2017, 11:19 AM

Tight integration with ACID PRO v8 would also be nice. So one could edit the soundtrack to the video timeline without having to export a small video to ACID.

Also would like to see colour adjustment curves like Da Vinci resolve's SAT vs HUE, SAT vs LUMA, etc. Trying to make selective adjustments using a CC secondary effect is too slow and cumbersome.

I've use acid for a long time, but I think that Magix Samplitude is a better product. If they would give use a deep discount to transfer from Acid to Samplitude and be able to round trip to vegas and read old acid projects I'd go for it in a hurry.
