What version of VEGAS is it? Newer formats use NVIDIA's dedicated NVENC circuitry instead.Try MagixAVC which is also an mp4 container.

Otherwise enable legacy GPU rendering in deprecated settings (preferences) and then try SonyAVC and change the encode mode to render using GPU if available.

I've never seen a render option that mentioned Cuda in Vegas. Only place I've noticed it is as an OpenCL alternative in the Raw Processing drop-down of the I/O decoding tab, starting with vp20.

This link to a post @j-v says 'Vegas Pro 13 was the latest version with that CUDA option.' ..

What version and build number of Vegas?

What are your machine specs including processor version?

How to get to this options? It was as a render to MP4 container.

@Uytkownik-Vegasa
That option was available for the last time in Vegas Pro 13 as a possibility for rendering with the Mainconcept AVC/AAC renderoption.

Now trying that renderoption crashes Vegas 13, while both other options render normal

As an fyi, the only references I see to OP's Vegas version in posts are to vp21.

I have Vegas 21 and I am searching a way to fastest rendering :(

Is that NVENC you were talking about?

RogerS wrote on 3/27/2024, 2:23 AM

For fastest rendering it is NV Encoder (NVENC) and the default preset is good.
