RE: VEGAS Pro 20 Build 411 General Thread
quantizing frames frame in Vegas, I have been editing videos in Vegas for several years now, I use multicam with all shot same frame rates. I still even today do not understand what quantizing frames actually does. I turned it off a few years ago as

RE: VEGAS Pro Feature Requests
One thing I'd like is a switch to lock event position. But unlike the current lock-switch, it should not lock anything else like the trimming, event-fade, grading, or fx. Or perhaps a preference setting to make the current lock-switch behave like

AutoPod-like scripts
As someone who edits Podcast, the tools created by AutoPod, mainly their Multi-cam Editor, save me a ton of time. But they require me to work in Adobe Premiere to edit the podcast I'm working on. I was wondering if there are any scripts that do what

RE: What is the best graphics card for vegas 21 ?
What type of HEVC is it? Can you share MediaInfo? Intel decoding is the most stable and compatible with HEVC in VEGAS at present. However Intel ARC GPUs aren't the best for 3d performance. I went with a 13th gen Intel K processor for the decoding

RE: VEGAS Pro Feature Requests
Like to see a new feature to facilitate multicam... the ability to specify a camera lut to be incorporated into Vegas' proxy file generation. Would suggest the ability to specify a camera lut during the media import process and then apply the lut to

RE: Multicam Workflow Question
This is unbelievable. I posted about this very issue back in 2012. Just reread the whole thread: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/how-to-make-edits-in-multicamera-shoot--91626/?page=1 I understand now that edits have to be made after

4K editing PC
Shooting mostly long gop with my sony's A7IV, FX6 and PXW-Z280 in UHD 8bit. These camcorders I'm currently using the most. Sometimes also some footage from my DJI mini 3 pro is used (when making a aftermovie) Current setup is from summer 2019 and

RE: VP21 Build 187 Causes Computer to LOCK
@Howard-Vigorita Did you see any similar issues as the OP here? You also have an 11th gen Intel K CPU with Arc 770? @RogerS I use my Arc a770 as the main Vegas gpu (selected in video prefs and with hdmi plugged into it). But only for multicam edit

RE: What is the best graphics card for vegas 21 ?
Don't say you bought a PC without a graphics card?! RadeonR9200 is quite ok. Unfortunately, it probably causes the Vegas to freeze. I wrote a post to find out what will speed up the render and preview in 4K 50frame as much as possible. From what I

I suggest using a conventional, not a multicam project in Vegas.

RE: 4K on timeline
"I'd suggest doing the project at UHD resolution so that generated media, etc. are actually at the higher resolution." That's what I do as well. Thanks John. Since you edit in UHD doesn't your editing process really slow down and become jerky

Bogus Review in PC Magazine
https://www.pcmag.com/reviews/vegas-pro I found this review in PC Magazine absolutely bogus. The author cites more cons than pros with Vegas, and many of his criticisms seem unfair and have more to do with him as an editor than legit criticisms

RE: 10 Bit Video in Vegas Pro 22 - What Project Settings to Use?
You're leaving out the key element... At the camera's native resolution. Even if cameras did that, I don't see how it would help. If a 6k or 8k sensor only captures 2 elements per pixel, which they all do, the missing elements would still need to be

Cuts aren't placed at timeline when switching cameras in Multicam
When switching camera angles using the multicam mode during timeline playback, sometimes the cut isn't placed where the timeline bar is at the moment but where the the timeline bar was placed before playback. This doesn't happen all the time. What

RE: VRAM Bottleneck in Vegas Pro 22 – Considering GPU Upgrade to RX 7900 X
I've been using both an Amd 6900xt and an Nvidia 4090 in the same machine for about a year now and have not had any driver issues with either during that time. I recall Vegas-only red-blue color swap issues with Amd quite some time ago and Nvidia

RE: V19 648 drops Expand Multitrack. Also problem with Event Heal.
Whenever I use event heal after multicam splits, I first ungroup the events involved. That keeps other parts split from a common original clip from disappearing. Then regroup. Checked b648 and the Multitrack Expand is available for me. Maybe your

RE: What is the best graphics card for vegas 21 ?
How would you know? What is the "full power" of the hardware? @Reyfox The limiting factor here is the GPU decoder, With 6 tracks of 4K50 10bit the decoder runs at 97%, and it takes a few seconds to stabilize, so the weak point should be the single
