RE: Vegas 21 (315) Lag when handling clips (Trimming and Moving)
What version were you using? You said you skipped 300 and 314- did you also skip 21.315? 22.93 is a refined version of 21.315 in my opinion. The old versions like 21.208 used so4compound decoder for HEVC (and benefited from Intel QSV decoding).

@NoKi: Thank you, I'll have a look at those references.I just tried the shift script you shared last night and it works nicely, though there is still a sync error between the left and right videos. At this point I think I have these things to

RE: DebugMode FrameServer 6.0 Available for V22
Just completed some tests comparing 10bit renders from Vegas using MagicYUV and DMFS. Here are the project settings I used. In all cases, I simply added the test footage to the timeline and rendered using both MagicYUV and DMFS with the v210

I am including below one of the media files (Its small) from the GoPro. If you want one from the GH6 that is running 4k 60fps, 10-bit let me know. You will need to provide the file via a file share site. Embedding it on the forum will not provide

RE: What 4K file format is the best to work with in Vegas Pro 20/21
For the time being, steer clear of HEVC. From comments on the forum, many are experiencing difficulty in getting smooth timeline playback with HEVC (H.265) video - including myself. The reason is that HEVC is much more compressed than other codecs

Vegas 21 (315) Lag when handling clips (Trimming and Moving)
Good Day, I have a new bug for version 315 Vegas Pro 21. These two things might be related, and I'm hoping someone has a workaround. 1.) When I try to Trim all my media, I get lag where it is jumpy when trying to trim it 2.) Sometimes, and not

The more I test with it I notice the problem is there for everything. But the larger the format the more noticeable it is.PS - I can hear the hard drives working that store the files, which wasn't the case before. I can't tell what they are doing

RE: Hi, I am using Osmo 4k camcorder and unable to add MP4 File (.MP4)
H.264 works ok, it's my daughters wedding I recorded in HEVC which the software doesn't recognise. If the video continues to not work in MSP17, the video could be transcoded to H.264 (AVC) in a free transcoder such as Handbrake or Shutter Encoder

RE: Issues VEGAS Pro 21 build 300 - GoPro 11 5.3k Clipping Video Lag
Presumably your last version was building a video proxy, based on your description. Is your new version building a video proxy when you introduce your beefy GoPro clips? You will know from the progress bar on the lower left. Yeah, it still has the

RE: Not responding on 4K editing
4k info coming from a go pro GoPro footage is not optimized for realtime decoding, so you should be building Proxy Files for your source. Do this from the Project Media window. It's worth the time for ease of editing. By "MediaInfo," this is what is

RE: VEGAS Pro 21 Build 300 General Thread
Version 300 My render speed for 3840x2800 60 FPS GoPro files dropped from 30+ fps to around 3 fps. About 1/10 the speed. This is with an i9-14,900K CPU and RTX A2000 Pro Graphics card... Note: Both renders were done on the exact same edit. RogerS -

RE: RX 9070 Crashes whilst rendering in Vegas Pro 22 (build 250)
@Solmea - I normally render to HEVC, but can use AVC instead. I tried the option, with and without enabled. For a 24min timeline of GoPro HEVC 4K media: MAGIX AVC (AMD VCE) - Legacy AVC decoding = Disable = Render time = 5min 35s & 4.72Gb MAGIX

j-v: yeah, that's fine. UltraVista: yes, checked in task manager, no decode activity for 8k. I just tested with experiment hevc decoder, and it does use nvdec, but the playback is still unusable, only 2-3fps, compared to fluid mpc-hc. Yes, gopro

RE: [Closed] VEGAS Pro 21 Build 108 General Discussion
HEVC 4:2:0 with 10-bit works in VEGAS with Intel and NVIDIA. You have to uncheck legacy HEVC. Just tested it with 2 different HEVC files (Sony and GoPro) using my UHD 770 iGPU.

RE: Vegas Pro Rendering Issues
Thank you for uploading all the MediaInfo data. There's certainly a cornucopia of differing frame rates, frame sizes and codecs in your project, but the problem may relate to the mp4 HEVC (H.265) media rather than the mp4 AVC (H.264) media. HEVC

RE: Vegas 21 (315) Lag when handling clips (Trimming and Moving)
@joshua-noesser Well, it is a GoPro, which are notorious for their excessive compression schemes. Plus, add the fact that you are also recording at 5.3K, 60p (59.940), this just increases the problem. I have used GoPro's since the Hero 3 Black Plus
