RE: Affordable 10G Network for Small Studios...
Even though I've avoided system hardware upgrade and benchmarking threads like the plague since my next hardware upgrade is scheduled for Q1 2021, today, I'm 100% certain that my next forklift upgrade will be based on a 10GbE network. I might do it

RE: Anyone running Vegas on an I9-9900 yet?
Thanks again for the response. One thing is for sure, Vegas utilizes the GPU to a limited extent. And only for effects and transitions on the timeline. It's all about the CPU, but even on my 4th gen i7, it rarely approaches 100%. Your comment about

RE: SOS! AMD VCE 10 bit encoding, Vegas Pro 16? Need help.
Nvidia's equivalent of VCE is NVENC, which is also supported by Vegas. You say project settings match media settings, but do render settings also match? Same resolution AND framerate? As for HEVC taking so long, if your GPU doesn't support hardware

RE: Video Cards for Vegas Pro/Studio
First question back to you: Since you are on the X299 platform, that would mean you currently need to have a dedicated GPU. So, what card do you currently have? Second question then: What is it about your current GPU that requires upgrade?

RE: Red Car Test - Where?
My worry when I read these reports is that my 9 year old clunker (OK, has modest RX580 GPU upgrade) renders in a similar league - i.e., approx. 30 seconds for XDCAM 35mbit - and preview in this 1080 P project scrubs completely smoothly. So,

RE: GPU Acceleration
I thought in the product comparison it said both support hardware acceleration or did I misread that? Indeed, but the program choose it, but in the plain version you cannot change it or alter settings that are possible in the Platinum version Is

RE: GPU Acceleration
A.f.a.i.k. that is not possible in the plain Movie Studio version from which you show a screenshot of the Preferences/Video tab. You need the Platinum version to get that option (and more). I thought in the product comparison it said both support

RE: Goodbye Vegas...Hello DaVinci
1) No VFW, No Pro-res, No blu-ray formats, heavily reliant on quicktime formats (Boo!). I prefer Vegas for solo work, but use Premiere Pro (Windows) & FCP (on an aging Mac Pro...) for collaborative work... If enough clients request Resolve

Interesting "Balance." May I contribute, since I own both VEGAS Pro and DaVinci Resolve Studio (using the v16 Beta at the moment): Sounds like the OP has made up his mind. Fair enough, but it makes me wonder why he bothered posting at all? Some

RE: Goodbye Vegas...Hello DaVinci
Centuries ago when we transition from SD to HD, the performance was not a "hit" but a "murder". Our pc's that worked great with DV then, now where expected to work with HD and h.264. Since then i started working with Intermediate formats and haven't

RE: Configuring ShuttlePRO V2 with VEGAS PRO 16!
@Grazie Hi Not with CSP - I do not use it, however (slightly OT) for many people the upgrade from Win 7 to 10 proceeds quite smoothly, I am still on Windows 10 1803 and have been holding off upgrading to 1903. Issues that I have experienced going

Hi all. I've been waiting for support from over 2 weeks now, with no results, so I hope that maybe somebody that is really expert and can guide the choice of less tech-savvy guys can help me with the solution that the official support hasn't yet

RE: Vegas 17 Feature Requests
I have been a Vegas User since Version 4, currently on Vegas 15, and I have paid for upgrades every few versions ever since. I consider myself a power user. Lately I have been strongly considering a new NLE, either Premiere Pro or Da Vinci Resolve

RE: Has the Vegas Pro 15 Edit Crash Problem been fixed yet?
I like many have been using Vegas a LONG time and I believe Mv15 b416 to be the most stable of any version, although SVP-12 was pretty good. But stability depends on your machine and settings. I don't see a listing of your specs. You need at LEAST

Using Vegas 9.0 but upgrade/update to Movie Studio 16
For the folks here that have used both older Vegas Pro versions and know about the newer Movie Studio versions, I like your opinion on what I might be missing or getting into by upgrading/updating to Movie Studio 16. Hardware: SSD, decent RAM. Older

RE: Threadripper 1950x + rtx 2080 : Poor Render Time on Vegas Pro Plugins
