    RE: GPU Acceleration
I thought in the product comparison it said both support hardware acceleration or did I misread that? Indeed, but the program choose it, but in the plain version you cannot change it or alter settings that are possible in the Platinum version Is

    RE: GPU Acceleration
A.f.a.i.k. that is not possible in the plain Movie Studio version from which you show a screenshot of the Preferences/Video tab. You need the Platinum version to get that option (and more). I thought in the product comparison it said both support

    1)  No VFW, No Pro-res, No blu-ray formats, heavily reliant on quicktime formats (Boo!). I prefer Vegas for solo work, but use Premiere Pro (Windows) & FCP (on an aging Mac Pro...) for collaborative work...  If enough clients request Resolve

Interesting "Balance." May I contribute, since I own both VEGAS Pro and DaVinci Resolve Studio (using the v16 Beta at the moment): Sounds like the OP has made up his mind. Fair enough, but it makes me wonder why he bothered posting at all? Some

    RE: Goodbye Vegas...Hello DaVinci
Centuries ago when we transition from SD to HD, the performance was not a "hit" but a "murder". Our pc's that worked great with DV then, now where expected to work with HD and h.264. Since then i started working with Intermediate formats and haven't

@Grazie Hi Not with CSP - I do not use it, however (slightly OT) for many people the upgrade from Win 7 to 10 proceeds quite smoothly, I am still on Windows 10 1803 and have been holding off upgrading to 1903. Issues that I have experienced going

    RE: Vegas 17 Feature Requests
I have been a Vegas User since Version 4, currently on Vegas 15, and I have paid for upgrades every few versions ever since. I consider myself a power user. Lately I have been strongly considering a new NLE, either Premiere Pro or Da Vinci Resolve

RE: Has the Vegas Pro 15 Edit Crash Problem been fixed yet?
I like many have been using Vegas a LONG time and I believe Mv15 b416 to be the most stable of any version, although SVP-12 was pretty good. But stability depends on your machine and settings. I don't see a listing of your specs. You need at LEAST

Using Vegas 9.0 but upgrade/update to Movie Studio 16
For the folks here that have used both older Vegas Pro versions and know about the newer Movie Studio versions, I like your opinion on what I might be missing or getting into by upgrading/updating to Movie Studio 16. Hardware: SSD, decent RAM. Older

Unfortunately, my problems still persists ... stuttering of the preview window and random crashes. This is getting ridiculous... :( I was so hyped about this release. We have 6 different machines in our studio, on every machine we have same issues

The Twitch streamer has a fault with their streaming setup that they need to fix: Obs config, hardware or software, perhaps even network. As you say restoration of 2seconds blocks of missing video isn't feasible it's up to broadcaster to deliver

RE: (FAQ) How can I stop VEGAS Pro hanging or crashing during rendering?

RE: Threadripper 1950x + rtx 2080 : Poor Render Time on Vegas Pro Plugins
From my understanding, the PLX chip reduces flow to/from the PCIe slots not needed at the moment (nanosecond…).  For instance, when I am capturing from the Blackmagic card it goes to (1) M.2 RAID 0.  The PCIe hardware 12-drive RAID10, 10G network,

@Chief24 and others. There is a genuine, non fanboy interest in establishing which of the two main systems to choose from, Intel/AMD. The same applies to choice of GPU... Things change, and maybe in the future with better multi core optimisation in

It is strange that it works on your side. Not strange, to me it looks normal as designed in Vegas 16 The reason I recorded in 50i is because I wanted to render so every TV device can playback it. If I shoot in 50p it can't be playbacked only on

I hate to talk about hardware eighteen months before I start picking parts for my next upgrade, but I got a mid-cycle boost from Vegas Pro 15 when support for AMD VCE hardware encoding was added. VCE and all the other ASIC encoders are supported in
