RE: Post Your VEGAS Creations - 2
Hi, this is my latest video after being poorly for quite a long time. Uploaded to YT on Fri 17th May. My videos are simple cuts with a 12fr crossfade, I prefer the look of that to a 'harsh' butt joint & my subs regularly comment saying they like

RE: 4k video choppy after render- base video looks good.
I can't believe how helpful you all have been. I had 6 cameras rolling for that shoot (old cell phones and 2 gopro's ) so you can imagine my frustration when the one that's giving me issues rendering is the brand new s23 ultra. It takes me a very

RE: Change CPU ? (Intel I5-9700K -> I5-13400F)
I tried these GoPro h.265 files on my desktop (Intel UHD 770 iGPU doing decoding; RTX 2080 doing everything else). On a UHD doubleNTSC timeline (59.940fps) the 8-bit file plays back at full speed at preview/full. If I cut it up, crossfade clips,

Please take into account that your computer's CPU is under the recommended minimum specifications for 4K in Vegas Pro 20: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.com/us/specifications/#productMenu - which may be affecting timeline performance. The minimum

@Former user Those look great! I have issue with the perspective tracking interface in that I can't zoom into the video to accurately fine tune the corner points, and didn't find a way to hand-jam the coordinates, so I only used it a few times. Also

@walter-born I have almost the same computer as you (see in my Signature System #2). I do not use a Drone of any sort/manufacturer, though have been using GoPro's since the Hero 3+ Black. Again in signature, you can see the cameras I use. Early on,

RE: Unable to set high resolution for ProRes render
I'd convert the HEVC files if they aren't editing well (choppy playback) but wouldn't just to boost render times as you lose time on the front-end with the conversion. You don't need 4:2:2 as this is an 8-bit 4:2:0 source so what you are doing in

I did update my NVIDIA driver from 536.99 to 537.13 as you suggested. As far as the setting changes in Vegas, I set the RAM usage to 50% - not 75% as he recommended (I have 32GB). The other changes - I'm going to leave as he suggested for now -

RE: Is Deinterlace Broken in VP20/370?
If I understand you right: 1, the output field order has nothing to do to (source material) de-interlacing. 2, recommend you choose Blend fields so that you keep the source quality; with Interpolate fields you only get half resolution - if your

My prime rig Sys1 in signature is pretty similar. Problem may be 4k gopro.. I use 50p so 29.9 should ease matters. Maybe use proxy or convert to prores via shutter encoder. Both easy solutions. @RogerS i7-8086K Special version (selected) ,OK to

RE: Vegas 16 keeps crashing
Maybe VP16 not keen on GOPRO H265 files. 1) try using proxy files. 2)Download 'Shutter Encoder' free and re-code your 4K 265 files to say ProRes or H264 which should be easier for vegas to handle. A little bit of trial & error. Shutter encoder
