  have you try to move it Color Grading before Event Pan/Crop in Video FX Chain? If you move it later (pan\crop), then "colored traces" remain.I don't think that's a good solution.

  @Kimberly-Durecki You can also achieve good results with VEGAS' native Color Corrector (Secondary). Just be careful when setting the parameters not to select unwanted elements in the scene.
