RE: VRAM Bottleneck in Vegas Pro 22 – Considering GPU Upgrade to RX 7900 X
@johnny-s Thanks, that's great. Looks like the Nvidia & Amd are pretty similar in quality for the input used. Lossless input better represents how good they get. Users have been finding Intel av1-svt showing anomalies for some material so I'm a

HELLO. I would like to know if someone can help me because I don't know what else to do.... It has never happened to me until now...I have a very big project, 1 song with 7 shots of different plans...when I synchronize everything, it makes an error

RE: best graphics card options for playback
To playback what? Depending on the media it may be Intel ARC or an iGPU for decoding. More datapoints on GPU performance in my signature. 4k (UHD) sony H264 files. mostly 8bit 50P. So with some effects on it to have smooth playback or in multicam

RE: VEGAS Pro 21 first update information
Updates and improvements for the MXHEVC Plugin Since hevc is my primary 4k format in multicam, you can bet I'll analyze that to death! Already started profiling existing performance and quality for comparison.

RE: Vegas 21 crash all time with 4k 50fps..
What do you need to do? Share Mediainfo for your files. Depending on what it is I might recommend a re-encode using a tool like ShutterEncoder and then replace the originals. Alternatively, for multicam I'd right-click on the media and "create video

RE: VEGAS Pro 22 Build 194 General Discussion
I finally took the bullet and installed VEGAS Pro 22 after so many crashes, freezes and hangs of VEGAS Pro 20, and the result was literally night and day. To be honest, I almost ditched VEGAS Pro in its entirety (I am a 10+ year user of the VEGAS

RE: best graphics card options for playback
UHD Sony X-AVC S 8-bit files is about all that I shoot. I use my Intel iGPU with the 13600K to decode those and it works great. My NVIDIA card handles the timeline (color grading, Fx). I'd bypass the Fx while in multicam mode as it's really just to

Go Pro audio gaps between clips
Since upgrading to Vegas Pro 23, I’ve started experiencing a small but noticeable audio dropout at the point where GoPro clips join. I run a 3‑camera setup around my aircraft and edit everything using Vegas multicam. I’m aware that GoPro’s encoding

RE: Running TWO versions of VEGAS PRO on same computer
Does anyone know what version of Vegas Pro 21 has no bugs? @t-keats In my projects which employ hd422 mxf, I needed to use build 108. Build 208 was otherwise the quickest rendering larger projects with 4k hevc. Build 315 fixed some things but took a

Update to 4K RedCar HEVC benchmark
I did an update to the media substitution used in the RedCar 4K HEVC benchmark which pretty closely models my multicam HEVC workflow. It demonstrates how dramatic the performance penalty can be splitting and overlapping media clips in Vegas and/or

RE: Vegas pro 21 & 22 Intel Arc Gpu Problem
I'm sticking with vp21 b208 when I need the benefits of video-prefs set to one gpu and i/o set to decode with a different gpu. Vegas is still overhauling and upgrading vp22 internals. So for now, vp22 is only optimal if you set i/o to auto in which

RE: Gaps, NTSC
@Robert Johnston It's a bug that's been reported for quite a while. Just checked on my laptop where I have vp 19, 20, and 21 installed and can duplicate on every one of them at a 29.97 frame rate. One workaround is to turn quantize off before

RE: Changing proxy format to speed up Proxy Building in Vegas 22
I don't have to use a proxy anymore because the Uhd770 accelerates my videos. But it used to annoy me a lot. For me it's more than three years ago that I regularly used proxies to edit 4k footage on me previous and ancient PC. Never had a problem

@KKS Around 1.5 minutes on my systems at 100% cpu vrs 12 minutes on yours at 75%, even if I use nothing but my igpu. A better cpu should help you quite a bit. I agree with @RogerS that something else in your system is making trouble... you might

This is an old thread from 2020. Subsequent posts indicate OP ended up getting an Amd 6900xt with an Arc a770 for decoding. I have that same combination myself. When display performance is my paramount consideration, I get the smoothest most glassy

RE: Multi-cam project edit worked superb but ColorGrading Panel unusable
I've been doing multicam in Vegas for years but there's a required workflow. Multicam cuts need to be done before the color grading because multicam mode tosses all track and event fx. If you need a lut to see what you're doing, apply it as a
