The biggest issues for me working in Vegas are firstly, still having to use the Levels plugin 'Studio RGB to Computer RGB' preset when grading, then having to turn it off when rendering. It's kind of ridiculous we still have to do this when no other program works like this.

I don't know if it's connected, but I did a bunch of training videos once with graphic elements in Vegas, whilst another editor did some in Premiere. When rendered, with no effects added, the colours of the graphic elements were completely different! Even though they were the same images used for the edits in both programs. And I must say, the Premiere renders looked better, with more natural colours.

The other main thing I'd like to see, that I notice others requesting too, is disable resample turned on by default. Definitely a no brainer that one.

Hopefully future Vegas Pro can support these cards for output monitoring.

- Tracking ? Of course !

- Darker gray interface. Noooooo ! I prefer as it was many years ago. Actually too dark. Let's choice it.

You can still have it that way up to VP13 if you really want:

We're starting to do a lot of chroma key work and the Vegas keyer is inadequate.

Also need LUT support.

No drop outs in surround mixing. Also, the surround master bus should accept all third party surround plugins.

It would be nice to be able to tag media from within vegas so that it can be opened in a different project's media pool later. For instance, if I'm editing videos and I see a scene that I think would look really good on one of my promotional videos, I'd like to be able to mark that scene so that when I get around to editing my promos later down the line, I have all those scenes where I can access them easily. When I mark the file, I'd like to see vegas copy that media into a folder named whatever I choose to tag it with, and I need to be able to easily add new files to that existing folder through the same scene tagging mechanism. I might edit a promo once or twice per year, but I'm always finding scenes I'd like to use. As it is I have to do all that copying manually, it would be nice to automate it right from the timeline.

soooo..... can we start asking for more now again?  :)

i like the hover scrub, but would love if it was extended to project media window (with possibility to use a random thumbnail for each clip). i think it would be much more useful in there, to scan through without having to load each clip into the trimmer first

vegas pro should also have all of the features of acid pro inside of it.
