Strange looking FX Windows in VPro 16 build 307

Yesterday evening I was trying to help a Vegas user with some strange looking FX windows.
This is my "normal" look as he use it

And this is how it looks with him

on his desktop using a CPU that is strong enough fo use with VPro 16.
As GPU he uses the Radeon™ RX 550 with latest drivers and it makes no difference if that GPU is used or not in Hardware acceleration. I know nothing about the behaviour of that GPU but rendering with its help in the Magix AVC codec goes normal and faster than the default (Mainconcept) setting.

Has someone seen and/or know the solution for this strange behaviour of the color chooser and the "animate" buttons for keyframing in this window that come with every FX chosen that have those buttons?
He cannot use those FX's

Under Preferences / Preview Device + Display, do the settings match the display device especially if the display device is UHD?

I used to get a similar FX window display with some FX years ago when I first got a UHD monitor but the then version of Vegas Pro was not high DPI friendly.

Thanks @Dexcon for your comment, but I think that is all OK.
I did control it and he is using one FHD screen for using the interface and another FHD as external monitor and Identifying in Preference Preview Device gave them both the right number as listed in those preferences.
I did sadly not control if the setting for use High DPI was switched on or off in Preferences/Display.
