"Titler can't work due to low GPU capabilities"

Hello. I have just upgraded to Vegas 20. It won't launch and keeps displaying the error message "Titler can't work due to low GPU capabilities". Does this mean my graphics aren't capable of launching the program? If so, how do I get refunded? Thanks. Oh, I'm on Windows 10/high spec PC recently upgraded memory etc.

@Simon-Power To find out what gpu and graphics capabilities Windows sees, I use the free Gpu-Z utility. It's useful to determine if you need a graphics driver update from your motherboard manufacturer. I suggest you get up to date first with your laptop or motherboard maker before trying generic updates from your gpu maker.

I've got a smilar but different issue. I'm trying to run a brand new install of Vegas 20. My intent is to run it on a VM on a iMac with 3.8 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i7, Graphics card is AMD Radeon Pro 5500 XT 8 GB. I don't think this matters but I have 64 GB of memory. If I can't get this to work I will need to see about a refund as well. Any help would be appreciated

I don't believe v20 is listed as working on a mac. Reading VM as virtual machine. Keep holding your breath. Have tested an earlier version (v8) under vmware (xp). Performance was poor. For mac try davinci free.

@RDR1020 You don't operate a modern NLE with a virtual GPU, you need to activate PCI(e) passthrough so Vegas can see your real hardware while in VM. That requires 2 GPU's, 1 for VM, 1 for your computer that no longer has access to your 5500XT when your VM starts. You probably have an IGPU, and that should work.

I know in the specific case of Nvidia 3000 series GPU's, they COULD share the 1 GPU between VM and OS at the same time but that feature is currently turned off.

It would seem much easier to have a dual boot system instead like EricNZ says.

Actually I haven't said anything. It's the post I refer to that mentions using Bootcamp. I've no experience with it as I've never used a Mac.
