ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE BY VEGAS !!! I have clients right now expecting video delivery !!! I've disconnected internet, tried opening Vegas, still won't open... shows it loading, then just disappears. Anyone else having major issues and how can we get the dang software to load? Is Vegas going to give us credit for lost revenue today ?!?!? TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE !!! FIX THIS NOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They only earn and earn, but no give us some for lost time and money for his crashes and problems in all his vegas editions.

Same problem here. My whole department is shut down. The internet disconnect seems to let it launch. I've opened three different projects since it finally launched. Please get this fixed!

Using Vegas 19

Ray-Nicklas wrote on 5/4/2023, 12:44 PM

Is there a download for version 19? I've tried everything here, and can use the program when the date is set to May 2, but it crashed once allowed to go May 4.

While some people posting fast links to the files is greatly appreciated, can someone that has actually successfully downloaded the official files post a md5sum of said files so we can verify authenticity?

I'm barely more than a semi-serious home user of Vegas Pro, but go all the way back to Screenblast and Vegas 5. My most recent version is 19, having upgraded to that in the fall of 2021.

Fortunately, I saw the email about this problem before trying to run VP 19, and am downloading the new build at this moment, apparently using two tin cans connected by a limp piece of string with a knot tied in the middle... 😟

I've only seen a note or two about VP 17, which looks like it might be immune. Does anyone know if even older versions are subject to this problem? I have a secondary machine that's still running Vegas Pro 12 and I just used it a few days ago. Kinda wondering if it's gonna be ok? I can't see Magix fixing version up. (Still running on a Windows 10 machine that is not capable of upgrading to 11, so in a couple of years, I'm likely to have a LOT of unusable software, like RX 10 Advanced & Topaz Video AI.)

I took the bullet and downloaded the slow one from here https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/patch-vegas-pro-19-build-651--140801/, that's where I got the file

It took me like 15 minutes, since I used a download manager

I get this about 1 hour into the download.

What a load of BS.

Benjy wrote on 5/4/2023, 2:25 PM

these 'official' download links bring me back to when I was 6 years old with a dial up. Is this some kind of a joke? 30 KBps on fiber?! can a moderator upload this file to literally any free file hosting service that will be more authentic to the present in-terms of download speeds? as much as I appreciate the random links the users provide, I am not risking infecting my PC with viruses because of a software provider error

This is absolutely unacceptable. Not only is this a weird issue, you have made everyone manually download this update at a rate of 50kbs, taking between 6-18 hours to download. You don't even have the decency to put it on a decent server so we can download it without hassle. Thanks for the 2005 experience.

With the crazy money we pay for their program (every year for me even), you will think they could afford a better server. But nope. 😒

Thankfully, we've got a backup (Vegas pro 8 - which I personally LOVE. For some reason, we can't seem to get Vegas 8 to load on our main system which uses windows 11, and it would only load sporadically with our windows 10 os...apparently, the .net frame required is no longer supported on windows 10 and 11???

I saw the "disconnect from the internet" mssg from a Magix email (and then on this board) RIGHT AFTER we uninstalled Vegas 20 to try a re-install. lol What was that George Burns said about timing? "If I tell a joke, I smoke as long as they laugh and when they stop laughing I take the cigar out of my mouth and start my next joke.” We can't even get our cigar downloaded, let alone light up Vegas 20!

Tried downloading the 403 patch 3 times, which was so kindly provided by some of the folks on this board/thread, thanks! Unfortunately, they all timed out at about a quarter to a third of the way through...and that was after well over an hour on each individual attempt. -Guess we'll just keep chuggin' away with Vegas 8 on our older workstation. That is, until SOMEBODY at Magix (or a Vegas [strip] magician) figures out this debacle. Hope everyone else is up 'n running, thanks for your support! There are some really smart, helpful people here.

Still not working for vegas pro 20. I get this error now?

I set the date back. I unplugged the internet and downloaded the new version.

MarkAnthony121 wrote on 5/4/2023, 3:38 PM

@NOVAdash - it will come. Currently still Work-In-Progress by the time of this replying.

Is this just a small patch? Or does this update continue building off of 326? Because there were a LOT of changes that I disliked. This would be VERY disappointing because I tried build 326 and it was a horrific experience on my machine and I wanted to stay on 214 and not be forced to upgrade just because of an error in the code. Can't there just be a small patch that can be run!?

No you have only the update to build 403

These download speeds are absolutely atrocious. I seriously hate being a complainer but I can't believe people at magix think this is acceptable.

MarkAnthony121 wrote on 5/4/2023, 3:51 PM

I worded that incorrectly. The point I was trying to make was that 326 ran poorly for me while 214 was buttery smooth and stable. And I didn't like the changes that were made. But I'm assuming that updating to the 'patch' will also update to all the changes that were in 326?
